5 sales objections killing your closes (and how to fix them!)
If youβre getting a lot of βI need to think about itβ after you pitch the priceβ¦ itβs easy to assume the lead just isnβt serious, but most of the time, thatβs not whatβs happening π¬ They are interested. They do want results. Theyβre just not confident enough yet to say yes. And thatβs what objections really are: a lack of clarity + a lack of confidence. The good news is you can prevent almost every objection before it ever shows up if you know what to listen for and what to ask earlier in the conversation. Here are the five most common sales objections, and the simple fix for each π οΈ 1) βItβs too expensive.β This almost never means βI canβt afford it.β It usually means: βI donβt see why itβs worth it.β Donβt rush to defend your price. Instead, slow down and say, βBefore we talk numbers, I want to make sure you can clearly see what this helps you do and why it works.β Then connect your offer to their real life by asking "What does staying stuck cost them? Energy? Confidence? Stress? Health? Another year of starting over?" When the value is clear, the price feels fair. 2) βI need to ask my partner.β This isnβt a problem at the end of the consult. Itβs a question you shouldβve asked near the beginning. Try this question earlier in your convo, βDo you have support at home if you decide to do this?β and "Do they know you're here?" 3) βI donβt have time.β Translation: βIβm scared I wonβt be able to keep up.β Before you present the offer, ask: βWhatβs a realistic amount of time you can commit to fitness each week?β Whatever they say, believe them. Build the plan around that. When your program fits their schedule, βtimeβ disappears as an objection. 4) βIβm not sure about 6 or 12 months.β This isnβt about time. Itβs about uncertainty. If they canβt picture what those months look like, the commitment feels huge. Fix it by giving them a simple roadmap that gets them excited about their dream outcome. When they can see the path, they stop fearing the timeline. 5) βI donβt like working out.β
