Perimenopausal?
Anybody else in perimenopause? I’m 42 and undiagnosed (in both ADHD and menopause lol) but feel like there is no deny it now that my hormones all over the place and the masks have slipped! (Didn’t know I was masking but feel like a really need to get to know myself and be true to myself in this stage of life)

Yes. It took a long time to realise it all though. Going to the dr as a 42yo woman and saying I was too tired was an absolute joke from the start... "Of course you are, you have 3 children under 6. Of course your cycle is still odd, you only finished breastfeeding last year Of course you are exhausted, you've had a series of nasty infections. Of course you are overwhelmed, you are home educating 3 kids 7 and under. Of course it's tough, it's depression / anxiety. Of course you are exhausted, you are having 7 days of heavy bleeding out of every 20. You're on HRT now, its probably the reason life still seems hard." I have pushed and pushed over the last 10 years and come so far. I fought for specialist help with perimenopause, due to horrible experiences with PCOS and recurrent miscarriage. The right HRT eventually relieved a proportion of the fatigue and brainfog, and regulated my cycle, but problems continued. I sought ADHD investigation, but instead went through 2 years of hell with a wrong bipolar diagnosis. I was later diagnosed with hyperparathyroidism, had an operation and the relief from fatigue and brainfog was astounding, but problems continued. Now I'm diagnosed (adhd and autism) and it feels like I have all the jigsaw pieces. BUT I did need to go through and eliminate all the other factors before I was confident to pursue diagnosis, because it seemed so left-field. I would really very strongly recommend getting started on understanding where you are in perimenopause as soon as possible. It just complicates everything else. And if you have experienced hormonal problems before (PMDD, PCOS, fertility issues), bear in mind newer research about neurodiversity and progesterone. Dr Helen Wall on FB is a good place to start and she quotes her sources so you can check for yourself whether they are credible.
Day 1 (a day late!)
Biggest insight: identifying what is happening when I'm stuck My open loop is: putting the clean laundry away. One word for how I feel right now: reeling. Other thoughts: I didn't really expect much from the AI tool, and I have a lot of concern at how AI is becoming embedded in so much right now, so it was a very big deal for me to try the tool. I'm proud of myself. And the open loop task - hideous! Just ONE open loop???? Several were immediately present and fully formed in my mind...

Can we do both assessments? The Snapshot AND the Deeper Look? I want to. Obviously, this is day 2, and I totally missed instructions about preparing ahead for day 1 and then totally forgot about completing instructions for day 1 after attending day 1...
