A few things from today's kiln unload
A few things from today's kiln opening. Hopefully a YouTube video will be coming soon with the full unload. I really loved the color on the orange and purple mug, but it ran like crazy (I dipped it too many times). Also, here is my attempt at a graffiti mug!

@Ona Papageorgiou Thank you! The bottle is slip cast, but not without some difficulty. Maybe someday I can make something similar on the wheel :)

@Pat Webb Thank you so much! The bottle was slip cast, but can be tricky to pour.

Mesh Screen Printing - Sailing Ship
This is my 2nd time now using mesh screen printing - Amaco Inks black and Mayco mesh screen. I have been in contact with a company in Victoria Australia to have my own mesh screens made - looking into this. I will do a video next time I do a mesh screen printing on my pottery on the process of screen printing❀️

Mayco used to print custom screens, but I'm not sure if they do international orders. The printers to make the mesh screens are fairly expensive. I bought one that makes 8.5"x11" screens. Here are a few examples of what I've printed. The fish was drawn by my sister and is a repeating pattern, the pelicans are from photos made at the beach, and the fawns were from art purchased on etsy.

@Linda Robertson Thank you so much for your kind words on my mug ❀️ Leaving a raw area is stepping outside of my comfort zone a little. What type of art are you wanting on your screen? While I'm definitely not an expert, I would be happy to (try) and answer any questions about screens. In addition to the mesh screens, I've made the kind you expose to UV light.
House sculpture [based on NerdForge cardboard house]
I made a ceramic house sculpture, inspired by a cardboard house made by the creative at NerdForge. This house took 63 lbs of clay, and final glazing yielded a height of 32 inches. It is installed in our front yard, with solar lights that show through windows and doors. It took me weeks to make, each roof tile was made individually.

Your little house is so pretty. I love the details on the roof and stone chimney.

@Teresa Tschupp Did you fire it all in one piece? Will you add more pieces around it in the future (like a village)? Either way, it's beautiful work. Just curious, but how much did it weigh after glaze firing?
