Group Call! 🔥 is happening in 6 days
Tiny Forest Visitor 🦌💜
Following on from our Skool call last night, I promised I would share the little video clip my hubby captured on his drive home last night. We live in a tiny place called Far Forest here in the UK. Our home is tucked away at the end of a single track lane which only leads to 4 properties, and we’re incredibly lucky to have around 4 acres of land — about 3 acres of that being woodland/forest. One of the things we absolutely love about living here is the wildlife. We regularly hear muntjac deer calling to each other (if you’ve never heard them before… they honestly sound slightly terrifying 😂 like a strange screaming bark in the woods!). We often spot them on our security cameras, especially at night, but yesterday evening Mark was incredibly lucky. Just as the light was fading after a rain shower, a mother muntjac crossed in front of the car… and then her tiny baby followed behind 🥹 Honestly, we have NEVER seen one so young before. It looked the size of a little rabbit. Absolutely precious. It made me think again about our conversation on the call about wildlife and how “normal” animals for one country can sound so exotic and fascinating to someone else. Yes majority of us were freaked out at Nat from @Mudmagics spider bite and would not be able to sleep at night! So now I’m curious…What animals, birds, insects or reptiles do you regularly see where you live that feel completely normal to you — but might seem unusual or exotic to the rest of us? 😊

Future portable studio
It's not much, but it's more than I've got now. Last night I found a used camper that I will convert into a pottery studio. It will be here this coming week and I'll make a few mods to make it for for purpose. I'm so excited to have a dedicated space! https://www.facebook.com/share/17GhWZCwjH/
Cat Water Thingy
I saw a chicken water thingy on Potter's Journal ages ago and decided to try making one for my cats. It came out of the kiln this morning. This lad loves smashing his paw into any plant saucer with water in it and drinking the water out of it no matter how awkward the angle so he loved drinking out of this. This one was to try proof of concept so I might make a few more for my outside cats with a bigger saucer and head of water. Also it meets the 'glaze you hate' challenge as I used Riptide which I bought on seeing the pic in the shop, but it is matt and only gets the colour on the front of the jar at cone 10 reduction. Pah. So it has loads of other blues and snow on it for a watery effect. Plus a clear over the top. Cone 5.5. Link to original video https://youtu.be/yyg2GT1cenQ?is=UDgoWdud8lhfOD8X

Really enjoyed the group chat yesterday! Thanks so much everyone, it was so much fun! Here are a couple of things that came out of my kiln yesterday. I will be uploading the kiln opening soon! As you can see, I love fairies! I think the moon fairy is my favorite.
