Detox winter broth #2
Yesterday I juiced a cucumber and pineapple. Tonight I’ll be using the pineapple bark I saved and adding a sprig of rosemary and fresh tumeric to no sodium organic veggie broth to make this healing elixir. This is what it does for the body: 1. Digestive Ease & Lightness Pineapple skin carries trace bromelain, and while the flesh has far more, the skin still releases a gentle enzymatic “softener” into the broth. It acts like a quiet janitor: easing the belly, helping proteins break down more smoothly, and reducing that boggy, stagnant feeling after meals. 2. Anti-Inflammatory Support Both turmeric and rosemary contribute here: - Turmeric infuses curcumin’s calming influence into the liquid. Even in food-level doses, it softens low-grade inflammation in joints, muscles, and the gut lining. - Rosemary carries rosmarinic acid — a slightly minty, uplifting compound that has its own anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects. Together they form a subtle “cooling and clearing” wave through the tissues. 3. Liver & Lymph Encouragement The pineapple skin + turmeric pairing creates a gentle detox signal — not the dramatic kind, more like opening a window in a stuffy room. - The liver appreciates the bitter-sweet compounds and responds with smoother bile flow. - The lymphatic system moves more freely, especially with the aromatic push from rosemary. 4. Hydration With Minerals Even a no-sodium veggie broth contains minerals (potassium, magnesium, trace elements). Boiling everything together gives you: - A mineralized, hydrating broth - A warm fluid that encourages circulation and bowel regularity - Something easy on digestion and compatible with your raw-till-4 rhythm 5. Antioxidant “Rinse” Rosemary + pineapple skin produce a golden, aromatic antioxidant infusion. Think of it like a little internal rinse that: - Reduces oxidative stress - Supports skin repair - Helps the microbiome feel less inflamed and more balanced 6. Mood & Nervous-System Effects

I will have to try this broth. I like how you explain what each ingredient does. I read something about how combining herbs actually helps increase their effectiveness. Is this true? I'm not sure how it works, but thought I'd ask. It's very interesting how food, herbs, and spices may heal and help us. I have noticed that some herbs or spices and specific foods I seem to gravitate towards and want more of that spice, etc. It seems that our body knows, even when we don't fully understand it.

Wow, this makes me ponder a lot. I live a simple lifestyle, but have been distracted before (more than I should) where I get caught into some of the busyness only to go back to where its tranquil in my simple life where I feel so relieved to be back. It makes me want to rest, reset, and restore myself more after reading this interesting post. Thank you for the reminder.

I love to eat stews and soups based on broths (I can't always make a homemade broth, but I figure store bought broth is better than a lot of junk food). I plan on making this detox broth. Thank you for explaining how the broth works with each ingredient and how it effects one's Qi. I have been currently working on decreasing inflammation, stress, and anxiety. I have tinnitus (Dec. 2024) and autoimmune Sjogren's (recently diagnosed Nov. 2025 -symptoms for approx. 4 years though). I'm very interested in trying this broth due to the great effects you listed, especially the hydration, decrease in inflammation, and helps my digestion. This is a very interesting read. I like the Donald Duck video - I grew up watching Donald Duck and the Looney Tunes on T.V. A fun reminder to me. Thanks!
Christmas 2026 12 Days of Qi Gong
Unwrap a free gift. Each day, beginning Christmas Day, I'll post a new Qigong movement, from the lineage of the QiGong of Unconditional Love, given to Teacher Li, by the ascended masters. We will begin with Jesus sitting and standing Qi Gong, and this will be our practice through Winter.
