SEO to AI Visibility: The Missing Layer After Pillar Pages
If you’ve already built strong Pillar Pages and still notice your content isn’t showing up inside tools like ChatGPT or Perplexity, Grok, or Claude, this is usually why. Traditional SEO teaches pages how to rank. AI systems work differently. They don’t rank pages. They interpret, summarize, and reference sources they understand and trust. That means a page can be well-optimized for search engines and still be invisible to large language models. The shift happens after the Pillar Page is live. What actually matters for AI visibility: - Turning Pillar Pages into citation-ready sources - Updating content in ways that signal freshness without full rewrites - Establishing clear human authority signals - Using schema for comprehension, not rankings - Introducing at least one proprietary insight AI systems can’t replace - Reinforcing credibility through a single, clear external explanation This is less about volume and more about clarity, structure, and trust signals that machines can interpret. No hype. No shortcuts. Just a different mental model for how discovery works when AI is the intermediary. If you’re building content with the next phase of search in mind, this is the layer most people are missing. I'm curious how others here are adapting their content for AI discovery rather than rankings? Share what you’re testing or noticing below.

Happy New Year!
I wanted to wish everyone a very happy, healthy and prosperous New Year! This is the year of the horse, which means forward movement and we are shedding the year of the snake that was 2025.

Thank you, Julie!
Google takes notable Market share increase.
Google’s Gemini has already captured 18.2% of generative AI web traffic in 2025—up from just 5.4% a year earlier—while ChatGPT’s market share dropped from 87.2% to 68.0%, signaling a dramatic competitive shift that experts are calling a “clear takeover arc”[finance.yahoo +1] If they can capture this size of market share, we should look at what is prompting the increase. How will that value benefit us. Pairing with each entity brings benefit when using Gemini with Notebook LM with. Manus and Meta, is another pairing to investigate to see if the use combined makes the cost more feasible. Cost containment is important when we count pennies. More important to have a tight ship because you can control the bleeding when it comes… Happy New Year’s Eve from the Ledesma Hudson Family!

Will AIO, AEO, and GEO replace SEO?
No. But SEO alone is no longer enough. SEO makes your site crawlable and findable.AIO, AEO, and GEO make your content answerable, understandable, and reusable by AI. Search is no longer: “Here are links.” It’s now:“Here’s the answer.” If AI can’t clearly understand your content, it won’t surface it, even if you rank. SEO is the foundation. AI optimization is the visibility layer. You need both.

I read somewhere that you can have amazing SEO and zero traffic even if you rank near the top. Now that I have a great understanding of SEO, they want to add more to the chaos!! I will share, understanding the situation clears the noise caused by chaos and brings peace of mind. We’ve got this…we’re not starting from scratch, we’re starting with experience. The technical fluency will come. It takes revisiting the new and incorporating automation workflows and if justified Automation workflow agents utilizing logic.
