A Mini-Guide to a Meaningful Halloween
Halloween wasn’t always about costumes and Freddy Krueger. The ancient world celebrated it as a marking the end of the harvest and the start of winter—and a time when the boundary between our world and the spirit world was said to be thin. It was a sacred season for honoring ancestors, facing life’s mysteries, and reflecting on personal change. If you've ever considered creating your own meaningful ritual this time of year. Here are some suggestions to adding a little intention and magic to your celebration: 1. Create a Quiet Space - Light candles and display some autumnal objects like leaves, flowers, or pumpkins. - Add scents like sage, rosemary, or cedar to create a calming environment. 2. Set an Intention for the Night - Reflect on what you’d like to bring presence to or release during this time—whether it’s a loved one, a life change, or a personal goal. 3. Reflect on the Year - Take a moment to think about the past year’s highs and lows, what you’re grateful for, and what you’re ready to let go of. Write them down, or share them with a friend. 4. Bring Presence To Your Ancestors - Light a candle for someone you’d like to remember or set up a small “ancestor altar” with a photo or memento. A simple way to feel connected to those who have past. 5. Release What’s Holding You Back - Write down a fear or habit you want to release. Safely burn or bury the paper as a symbolic way to let it go. 6. Share a Seasonal Feast - Enjoy some simple seasonal foods—apples, nuts, or even mulled cider! In ancient traditions, feasting honored both the living and the spirits. Halloween’s mysteries encourage a slower, more reflective pace. Whether you light a single candle or share stories of loved ones, follow what feels meaningful for you (But don't just drink all the cider). This Halloween, a few mindful moments can help connect you to the ancient rituals commonly practiced this time of year, reminding us of the quiet magic still woven into this night.

Feel I am losing my old self and feel I am lost
Hello dear souls. First of all I’m from Holland and my English writing is not so good. 😅so i hope people can understand what im writing. I have to talk about something, that no one of my friends of family can understand. And I can’t talk about it with them. I feel lost in my spiritual journey and in my life. Did a lot of soul searching, spiritual stuff, meditations. And lots of more soul thing's. Loved life and loved people. I had a lot of joy in my life. But now I do not feel it anymore. I feel lonely, even if I have a lot of friends and a best friend as my husband . stil I feel 😔 lonely in a lot of ways. (Spiritual and in life ). I’m not depressed or something. but I’m just lost in a way. I can not meditate anymore because I can’t focus or concentrate. when I want to listen to podcast of other stuff what is a spiritual massage of an interesting massage for humanity, it’s just like I can not focus or concentrate To keep listening to it. Friends, fam or other people always talk with me over there problems. Even that I can’t take anymore. I want to help but I do not have the energy for it anymore. If I want to do something that always made me happy. It doesn’t give me the joy that I always had. And so on,so on Pfff don’t know what’s wrong with me. It’s just like I’m loosing my spark. It makes me happy when someone Els is happy ,or when I make someone laugh. But I can’t feel the joy for myself In things. I was always a happy person and I have lots of love for everyone. But now I feel I just want to run far far away but than I realize I still wil be alone. I don’t know what wrong with me

Hey Tammy, thank you for sharing such a vulnerable post. There could be many reasons for feeling this way, if you are still feeling low it’s best to address low hanging fruit initially (sleep, diet, exercise) and then go deeper into what might be the root cause to the underlying feeling. This exact thing happened to me a year ago and I’m now only coming into a new phase. Deep down I knew that I had outgrown the career and life I had (consciously) created for myself. I’d spent 10 years working as an advertising photographer and loved it, but that love faded gradually over time and I did not want to admit that it was time to choose something new. Jumping off the cliff again into a completely new reality approaching 40 was scary, but I acknowledged that needed to happen then went through a very intense period of decreation. Almost everything I’d spent building over ten years, crumbled in six months and it was painful and brutiful! It needed to happen and because I understood that this phase of decreation needed to occur, I got through it. I’m on the other side of that now and have a new focus and passion, it just took a year of being in what felt like a liminal space. I’ve taken a punt in assuming this might be useful, but thought I’d share just incase. Feel free to DM me if you’d like to chat about it! Pip

You did it. You actually 'made it'. And somewhere in the quiet after - it didn't feel the way you thought it would.
