Patreon Vs You Tube Membership
Hello fellow creators, I hope your week is going great! It’s hump day, so we’re that much closer to the weekend. Hooray!!!🤣😂🤗 BTW, to my fellow UK creators, Happy Guy Fawkes Day! Enjoy the fireworks! I’ve a quick question/concern that I’d love to get your feedback on, please and thanks. So, I’m considering starting either a Patreon or You Tube Membership (or both). However, I’m unsure about which one to start. Someone said that the YT membership is better cause people are more likely to support stuff on YT as opposed to going on an external site like Patreon. My question to those who own/moderate YT membership and or a Patreon platform is, which one would you recommend and why? Also, if you’ve used either or both these platforms as a member, I’d love if you shared your opinions/experiences - good, bad & ugly. Do you enjoy the perks of being a member? Or is it not worth it, etc? Thanks so much for your advice. 😊

@Beth Hansen I do meet the YT criteria, but thanks for the reminder. Skool is food for thought though.
Crashed But Still Chugging
Hi Everyone! I wanted to check in and let you all know that even though my channel (thus far) looks like a complete failure, I'm still plugging away 😶 and I'm not exactly sure why, ha! My motivation and finances are at an all-time low BUT I've decided to stay with it. Gluten for punishment or eternal optimist? Can it be both? I started strong right out of the gate and then, suddenly (I find it funner to blame YT's changed algorithms than myself) I crashed and burned hard! Going from 7k views on my most watched video down to under 100 in 3 months. My sub count too was steadily increasing and then... nothing. I think I've gained 2 new subs in the past 2 months. I know we all have lulls but this feels more like a total and complete hard stop. Any advice?

Hey @Kimberly Anne I know exactly how you feel. I just posted a video about my YT journey and the challenges I encountered like you. However, I kept at it and eventually achieved 1k subs in 2 weeks. Have a look at the video and I hope it helps and inspired you to keep moving forward. You’ve got this girl!!! 😊 https://youtu.be/DCaRLZfIucg?si=Y0JS5cUri7_u5cXF

HELP!!! What Do I Do Now???
I got 1k subscribers just now and am giddy with excitement. It all happened so fast. With only 3 long form videos giving me over 900 subs in about 2 weeks, I’m not sure of the advantages/benefits that I’m able to access/enjoy. In other words, what do I do now with my newfound fame? 🤣 Any advice would be immensely appreciated.

@Nurul Chowdhury thanks. Yes, I’ve seen the stats. I’m aware of the videos that did extremely well and will continue giving the people what they want (but, interjecting sporadically with 1 or 2 videos that I really want 😁).
How I Got 1k Subs In 2 Weeks
My wins this week included: 1. Published my 1st walk and talk video today. 2. Reached 100k views. 3. Applied for YT partnership program. 4. Made and promoted in my video my 1st digital product to begin my mailing list. 5. Progressed & firmed up plans for a course I’ll be creating soon to offer to members. —-Also, I’ve been asked about… How I Got 1K Subscribers in 2 Weeks 🚀 It wasn’t luck — it was intentional effort. 💪🏾 Here’s what really made the difference: ✨ Consistency: I showed up even when the views were low. 🎯 Clarity: I focused on topics I’m knowledgeable and passionate about — so creating never felt forced. 👀 Creativity: I invested time in eye-catching thumbnails and scroll-stopping titles that made people want to click. The biggest lesson? People connect to purpose and authenticity. When you combine that with consistency, growth follows. If I can do it, so can you. 💫 Here’s a video I just published about my journey to achieving 1k subs in 2 wks and how you can too. I hope it helps & inspires you! 😊 https://youtu.be/DCaRLZfIucg?si=boXBr8wHe82ZXNwr

Monetised. Now What?
A few weeks ago I was struggling to get out of double digit hell with less than 100 subs, views and watch hours. Then something unexpected and amazing happened and things moved like lightening speed. Fast forward, today I’m now a You Tube Partner. Proves to me that resilience, consistency, determination and hard work pays off. As I’m still in the baby stage of being a partner, for those of you who have been monetised for ages, I was wondering what advice would you give a novice like me? What has worked for you? Or, if you could do it over again, what would you avoid like the plague because the experience was so bad or it’s just not worth the blood, sweat and tears?
