here's one of the nicer ones from another mean portuguese woman (I get about 10 of these a week, most of them calling the B and C word): How ridiculous: an American talking about progressive rights and concepts when she comes from a country that elected Trump. She'd better keep quiet. If I were her, I'd be ashamed to say I'm American. It's clear that she doesn't know her own country (the US), but there are films, books, documentaries, etc. that portray her country in greater depth. I've never been to the US, you know why? Because I had to fill out a questionnaire that insults my intelligence. But in Portugal, does anyone ask you questions about your political ideas or any orientation you may have? Have you ever tried to be a European citizen and want to visit your country? It's a joke. I refuse to be a clown. The most arrogant people... Just like Brazil, I can do without your idiotic values that don't fit with mine. Be happy or move to California. No one is stopping you here.

Hi @Maureen Greer Thank you for your comment. I'm going on year 4 of living here. I don't discuss politics, nor did I on the video she left that rude comment on. Many of my friends are Portuguese and are very kind to foreigners. Yes I do know about the housing issues, it's horrible!! Especially for the Portuguese. If I had to move here now I wouldn't be able to afford it. But it doesn't give anyone the right to be mean. I am disgruntled about things in my home country but would never and have never verbally attacked a stranger! There's no excuse for that kind of behavior. Thank you again for your comment.
