HELP! - Map Workshop activities
Hello! I’m struggling to find different ways I could do a map in a Workshop. Specially because I don’t want to exclude lots of processes that are important to consider in a map. But, on the other hand, I don’t want these to become something “unreadible” either, you know? Which tools, canvas or advice would you give to me. Example: Divide in teams and each one will focus on different processes of tha map… Thank you! :)

Hi @Mikel García, in many "process mapping" workshops I have done the big picture is often lost about why the process exists, who its for and what it depends on. I have used the SIPOC approach in these cases to set the scene and ensure alignment before diving into the mapping (SIPOC = Supplier - Inputs - Process - Outputs - Customer). The exercise can be done very graphically, column for each letter, with active participation from large teams if you give each "letter" to a small team to work on. I leave the "P" until last, and the fun starts when they start to make connections across from suppliers to inputs to process etc There is almost always "wow" moments too, when people realize just how many inputs are needed and how many outputs a process generates. There is plenty on the net about SIPOC, and I am happy to share more of my experience if you like the sound of it. Cheers
