Warm clothing for fall/winter but still stylish
Hello, gents. With the cold mornings of fall and winter, I notice that just wearing a dress shirt and a blazer/suit jacket is not enough. Even if you button the blazer/suit jacket I still feel the cold attacking my chest and neck area because of the V design of the blazer/jacket. With wind it is even worse. I am thinking of adding a cashmere or wool pullover over the dress shirt and then putting on the blazer/jacket. What do you think about this? Also I am planning to buy a navy or black overcoat so I can dress it on top of a dark blazer/suit jacket. Do you have any style advice on this?

a pullover is a valid choice, another one is to get a vest to make your suit a three piece, but you really can't beat a nice wool overcoat - i thrifted one a while back, i'm just waiting for it to get cold enough to wear it... also its worth thinking about scarves which both dress the overcoat up and block the vee at the top

Why I am NOT and Will Never Ever be "Soft"
Had someone tell me soft was better than strong and being soft was better than being powerful. NOPE! Not ever. Not in California, Not on the internet and not in Iraq Here's why for me: If you don't know, please don't pretend or I WILL Embarrass you Bad. Heard? If I want your Humble but Wrong opinion I will issue it to you from Supply along with your highchair and Pacifier so you can be Soft and Weak and Confidently Stupid on your own time Airborne! Blood 🩸 on the Rock!

people who say that you should be soft don't understand that hard doesnt mean uncaring, tough doesnt mean a lack of empathy. Of course theres a lot of so called alphas who don't get that either. A soldier has to be hard and use that hardness to defend the weak from the ravages of the strong. Rifles, swift and bold.
Italian silk shirt
No pictures because i don't want to wake the missus (its 1am here) but i had a bit of a success in a charity shop in exmouth... a pure silk shirt in midnight blue, for £4 . I also got an M&S Suit brand new with tags for £14..its artificial fibres the sort the usuaslly retails for about 80 quid but it'll do until i get myself a better one (I'm gertting a MTM but not until ive finished losing weight)

Its not worth another thread but today i got a charles tyrwhitt oxford shirt that retails at 69.99 for £3.40 and a wool blend 3/4 overcoat that google tells me is £140 new, for £9.99... its definitely worth thrifting where the rich people live. There was a very nice pure wool, italian made suit but it was just that bit too small at 44 when i'm a 46... i contemplated getting it to alter but i doubt theres enough fabric to let it out two inches
