I'm 38. Here's my accomplishments:
Forgive me for self-aggrandising for a moment... - Sold over $10M in contract revenue during my IT sales career. - Founded the HIB Podcast (formerly Corporate Warrior): 542 episodes, 1.3M+ downloads, and a 4.85 rating from 126 reviews. - Co-founded Optima Strength and sold 76 virtual and in-person training memberships at $376/mo average. - Recruited and developed a world-class trainer who still delivers exceptional retention and referrals to this day. - Helped 41 strength training businesses add $12,000–$58,480/month in revenue (that I can verify). And on top of all that… I have a wonderful wife and two gorgeous children who bring me more joy than anything else in the world. Next up: Helping 5 personal strength training business owners add $12,000 to $58,480/mo to their business. Click here to apply.

The Script That Got Me 53 Clients from Bark.com
Bark leads are cold. Lower trust. Harder to convert. This script booked lots of free studio/virtual workouts and ~60% became paying clients at Optima Strength. Not perfect—just proven. The Script (say it like a human, not a robot) 1) Open + Frame (30–45s) “Hey, [Name], it’s [You] from Optima Strength. You asked on Bark about help with [goal/problem]—still a good time for 10 minutes? My goal is to understand what you want, see if we’re a fit, and if so, book a free workout. Sound okay?” 2) Clarify the Problem (2–3 min) “Why now? What made you reach out today?” “Where do you want to be in 90 days?” Summarize back: “So the priority is [goal], because [reason]. Did I get that right?” 3) Past Attempts & Roadblocks (2–3 min) “What have you tried? What worked? What didn’t? Anything else worth knowing?” Repeat this question until they have gone through everything they have tried. Reflect back: “Got it—[X, Y, Z] slowed you down.” 4) Offer the ‘Vacation’ (qualify in/out) (45s) “We help people like you hit [stated goal] with 30-minute, 1-on-1, evidence-based strength workouts, twice a week. We handle the plan and accountability so you can just show up and progress safely. If virtual: “We coach you live via video on any device. No equipment needed—we guide everything.” “How does that sound?” 5) Handle Concerns (2–4 min) - “I’m too busy.” - “How much is it?” - “That’s expensive.” More on this below. 6) Book the Free Workout (60s) “Let’s get you a free workout so you can experience it. I’ve got [day/time] or [day/time]—which works?” (If they ask for a slot you don’t have, offer the closest two. People usually compromise.) 7) Quick Admin (90s) “Can I get your last name?” (Bark only shows first names) “Injuries or medical history I should know about?” (how it shows up) “Any resistance training experience?” “If virtual: what equipment do you have? (If none: no problem—still a great workout.)” 8) Close the Call (20s)

Client of the Week
Want a simple way to get more clients—without paid ads or complicated funnels? All it takes is one plain-text email per week to your list. If you’ve got old leads, past clients, or even a small local list—this will help you turn that into sessions and sales. ✅ How to Do It: 1. Subject Line = Familiar + “Client of the Week” Use a phrase your audience instantly relates to. Examples: - [Your Business Name] – Client of the Week - [Your Method] – Client of the Week - Smart Strength – Client of the Week - Slow Strength – Client of the Week 2. Body = Short, Scannable, Story-Based Highlight a real client result. Keep it clear and relatable. Example: "This week’s Client of the Week is Sarah Jane. When she started, she struggled with consistency and back pain. Now she trains once per week, is pain-free, and says she feels 10 years younger. No gimmicks. Just short, effective strength training sessions." 3. Call to Action = Ask for a Reply End with this line (no changes): "If you’re interested, just reply and I’ll send you all the details." Do not change this. Test this exact line for 10–15 weeks before even thinking about tweaking. 💡 Why It Works: - Keeps you top of mind - Creates curiosity - Starts real conversations - Works for studios, home setups, and virtual trainers alike You can send a new version of this every week with a different story—and watch replies (and clients) start rolling in. Example in comments.
