The Script That Got Me 53 Clients from Bark.com
Bark leads are cold. Lower trust. Harder to convert. This script booked lots of free studio/virtual workouts and ~60% became paying clients at Optima Strength. Not perfect—just proven. The Script (say it like a human, not a robot) 1) Open + Frame (30–45s) “Hey, [Name], it’s [You] from Optima Strength. You asked on Bark about help with [goal/problem]—still a good time for 10 minutes? My goal is to understand what you want, see if we’re a fit, and if so, book a free workout. Sound okay?” 2) Clarify the Problem (2–3 min) “Why now? What made you reach out today?” “Where do you want to be in 90 days?” Summarize back: “So the priority is [goal], because [reason]. Did I get that right?” 3) Past Attempts & Roadblocks (2–3 min) “What have you tried? What worked? What didn’t? Anything else worth knowing?” Repeat this question until they have gone through everything they have tried. Reflect back: “Got it—[X, Y, Z] slowed you down.” 4) Offer the ‘Vacation’ (qualify in/out) (45s) “We help people like you hit [stated goal] with 30-minute, 1-on-1, evidence-based strength workouts, twice a week. We handle the plan and accountability so you can just show up and progress safely. If virtual: “We coach you live via video on any device. No equipment needed—we guide everything.” “How does that sound?” 5) Handle Concerns (2–4 min) - “I’m too busy.” - “How much is it?” - “That’s expensive.” More on this below. 6) Book the Free Workout (60s) “Let’s get you a free workout so you can experience it. I’ve got [day/time] or [day/time]—which works?” (If they ask for a slot you don’t have, offer the closest two. People usually compromise.) 7) Quick Admin (90s) “Can I get your last name?” (Bark only shows first names) “Injuries or medical history I should know about?” (how it shows up) “Any resistance training experience?” “If virtual: what equipment do you have? (If none: no problem—still a great workout.)” 8) Close the Call (20s)
