SEO vs. AEO
Well, I just saw this for the first time. I've known what SEO is and has been (search engine optimization), and LLM - Large Language Model, and GEO - Generative Engine Optimization, but I am just now seeing AEO. AEO or Answer Engine Optimization (AI engines producing this) is the next acronym to put into your thoughts. AEO is getting more and more serious with the AI engines, sometimes offering answers/having them available before you even think to ask for it. These AI apps are learning and growing quickly!

The thing with AEO is that Google has always been an "answer engine". AEO is literally just marketers coining a new term to make money from it. 95% of the best practices that impact your ability to rank for AEO are the same best practices that would allow you to rank in SEO. Said based on 25 years of experience in that industry :-)

@Ellen Smyth A book I've always meant to read but never have.

@Julie Broad Completely agree - it's the "inciting incident" from fiction, which I've used in fiction writing but never thought to use it in NF. And now I can't think of any better way to start a NF book!
What Topic Should I Cover Next?
I'm looking at the February and March livestream calendar and I'm wondering what topic you want me to cover on the next live?

Something on how you use KDP Rocket (or not and why not) would be good :-)

@Deborah Lawson-martin You can use a reverse AISN search in KDP Rocket to figure out what keywords other books are targeting.
2025 Book Goals
Happy 2025 all! Was curious what everyone is planning on accomplishing with their book(s) in 2025. Whether it’s getting that first draft done, publishing your first book or continuing a series, what are you aiming for? I’m personally hoping to get my first draft of my first book done by Q1 and published by September. All the best, folks!

For 2025 I'll be unpublishing one book that failed to launch and replacing it with a new book that focuses more on a catchy title than just the usual keyword research.
