I have Atomic Habits. You can borrow it. I use to fast on my Kra-da (souls day - birth day). I stopped when I was pregnant. Iโ€™ve never been able to sustain the fasting over these years I stopped stressing myself out and honor the day in a way thatโ€™s right for the season or moment Iโ€™m in. Even if just reaffirming something I was already doing.

Iโ€™m going to start a Book Shelf tab and list suggested readings. Atomic Habits is definitely one. I like that it promotes โ€œhabit stackingโ€. Tiny habits that build on each other. Right in vibration with what weโ€™re practicing here.
Comfort or Community
I'm looking out my living room window at fresh snow while I sip tea. I've been up for a few hours and getting it in on administrative tasks for my businesses. But I've hit a slight wall. My apartment is warm. I have food and drinks. But, I feel like I could be even. more productive if I head to my favorite coffee shop to get another couple of hours of work done. But instead of looking at the snow - I would have to get out in it. But here's the thing. I've been working in coffee shops forever - before it became a huge thing. Why do I seem to study better, get more work done - even as there's hustle and bustle around me and a chorus of voices sometimes oversharing. I think its the feeling of being in Community. In my apartment I'm isolated with myself and then there's all the things staring at me (pile of clothes), dishes to be washed - the usual suspects trying to get my attention. Seems we humans tend to be more productive when we are in Community. So let me bundle up, call a Lyft and head out. I also have a client I need to see so I'll call her and ask if she would like to join me at In Harmony Cafe and Sweets. I can win my day and participate in a circular economy (pretty sure I'm buying something) that helps my dollars to circulate in my Community a little before it heads to the broader "economy". If you are out and about - stop by (google it) I can take a break and we can chop it up for a few.

I think the isolation trend not only affects our energy levels but our overall health.

And after a while we become addicted to solitude. Our nervous system actually rewires to feel human connection as a threat. I think thatโ€™s why intentional communities where we process this as unnatural and find ways to safely connect are important. And health suffers because our cortisol levels never get a chance to reset. Maybe another reason why our metabolic health is so affected.
The Law of Vibration
Hereโ€™s the thing. No matter what journey you are on to improve your health and life, some thing or someone is going to test your conviction. The old you will immediately get offended and all up in their feelings. The healed you - the future self you are right now - is going to ask yourself why you attracted that energy. When you take responsibility for your reaction to any negative situation you realize that you need to change the vibration you are sending out into the Universe. Then you can choose to self correct and invite the energies of health, - mental, physical and spiritual that are in line with your best self.

Accountability
I took a 10 minute walk after lunch. You lower your natural blood sugar spike after eating by just doing some movement - take a walk, exercise, or even sitting down and doing calf lifts.

@Aba Ifeoma the calf lifts work just as well as going for a walk. Your calves are a big muscle so they default use up glucose. Studies show that doing these calves raises can lower blood sugar spike after eating by 30%!
