💬 Jim's Slogans That Won't Leave My Head
Which one is living rent-free in YOUR brain? 🏠 Day 4 Live session is done and I keep noticing this: 👀 Jim's one-liners just stick. They show up in my head when I need them most. Like little post-its my brain refused to lose. 📝 Here are the two that won't let me go: ⬇️ 🔥 "Take the pain upfront." That tiny sentence has stopped me from making about 47 lazy choices this week. The cold water. The walk. The protein. Pay now. Glide later. 🏄‍♀️ 😴 "Bad sleep = ADHD on hardmode." Oof. This one cuts. Every chaotic, scattered, snappy day I've ever had? Trace it back. There it is. Bad sleep. Hardmode activated. 🎮 These two are doing more for my behavior than any to-do list ever did. 📋❌ Drop a 💛 if Jim's slogans live in your head too. 👇 Which one is YOUR anchor sentence? Share it below - let's build a wall of wisdom together. 🧱✨

@Renee Kers On behalf of us who are struggling to keep up, a big, fat THANK YOU! 😁😂🤗
Hi Friends, I'm Nancy
Hi, my name is Nancy from Louisville, Kentucky, USA (where it's Derby🏇Time!). I am 20 years divorced. I'm also newly retired, thanks to having been termed from my last job by a manager who kept placing new hoops to jump through in my path, just to trip me up. (I don't trip easily, mind you. But my meticulous documentation of her behavior made her scared of me.) Yes, it was a toxic workplace in general. But before I realized I was being targeted, my RSD didn't help the months I spent documenting, defending, overexplaining, and feeling psychologically unsafe! 🤔) My career & life experiences are all over the map - not by choice, but mostly because of hurdles and roadblocks caused by my elevated JUSTICE barometer, and defense of defenseless underdogs! (READ: my concerns and whistle-blows were dismissed, and I didn't understand why "harming others" seemed to be the daily routine!) Thanks, ADHD. Just officially diagnosed last November. I'm 67. I check all the boxes. Bittersweet, to learn and look back at what "might have been", and to feel fully ENGAGED now, finally approaching an end to my self-sabotage. I always knew I was different, as we all do in here. In my family, I was "difficult, shamed, disruptive, smarter than everyone else (but not in a way they could comprehend, so there was no one to talk to...etc. etc. etc.) Thanks for being my new "tribe". I look forward to sharing. You can ask me questions about: - narcissism survival - domestic violence survival - PTSD I want to get these things from ADHD Harmony: - Community - Sharing - Knowledge from your experiences For fun, I like to: - Be with my grandkids (I'm the super-NaeNae!) and my 3 sons, of course - Listen to and play all types of music - Bring people together for mutually beneficial connections - Cook, bake, plan events, and entertain - Custom crafting of all kinds: creating salvage art, painting rocks that look like characters, large wall/pool murals, sidewalk chalk art, theatrical makeup and props, and the list goes on....

Yes, @Shawn Bailey I got a gold one this year as well! The pin's value locally is admission into many pre-derby & derby events. I recommend a glance at FAQs | KDF Discover for all that. "Your registration makes you eligible to win one of 12 Weekly Grand Prizes." <- direct quote ...lol As for the significance of Gold: "If you’re registering a Gold Winner Pegasus Pin, you are also eligible to win the Gold Winner Pin Grand Prize, $20,000 cash!" Good Luck on that part!! 🏆🏇 ...and on the various "pot" drawings your host is obviously going to have (...as well as a clandestine connection to a bookie for official off-track betting!) 😁

Hi, @Cathy K! That would be my little Yorkie, Toby, waking me up. He sleeps in another room, but voluntarily wakes up around 7, and jumps up onto my bed, licks my face and hand and acts like it's the first time he's seen me in weeks! It makes me smile every single day! How about you...? 😁
😁 <- ME now
Just got my belief reframe started and realized the story I've been telling myself - that I don't follow through - is contradicted by the very things I've actually pulled off. Turns out the issue was never capability. It was the fuel I was burning. Two sections left and I already see something I've missed for decades. ❤️ "Keep swimming, you beautiful Fishes!" 🐡

🎭 Masking, anyone...?
The mirror principle just tracked: My passive (retired) mornings aren't laziness - they're a perfect reflection of 'waiting to be required' by something. Compelled. Externally motivated. I called it needing "a mission," but underneath that word is the pattern I hadn't named: I've been mistaking being needed for being worthy. 🎭 My lifelong mask.
