The “Decider” (You for Your Channel)
The hardest part about YouTube isn’t making videos! It isn’t “putting your face” on camera. Isn’t even editing (which I keep to a minimum anyway. Or posting. It’s deciding to do it. I’m nice you make the decision, there’s no going back. You will follow through. At least until the next video when you “decide” to do it. Only you are the “decider”.It’s that simple and that hard.
✨ Holiday Gratitude Check-In ✨
Before we rush into the next goal, the next upload, the next milestone—let’s pause for a moment. Gratitude for how far you’ve already come. Gratitude for every viewer and subscriber who chose to spend their time with you. Gratitude for YouTube being a free platform where we get to share our thoughts, skills, experiences, and stories—without permission, gatekeepers, or limits. It’s easy to normalize this. But zoom out for a second. We’re living in a time where we can connect with brilliant minds all over the world instantly. Learn from each other. Teach. Build. Create impact from our living rooms. That’s not small. That’s extraordinary. Today, just take a breath and acknowledge it.You’re not behind. You’re participating in something incredibly rare—and powerful. Grateful for this space. Grateful for this community. Grateful for you all and wishing you a happy holiday season.🤍

I give thanks to all my wonderful viewers, subscribers, commenters, and colleagues/friends on my channel and in Skool! YouTube is not a “free” platform, however, because they earn money from advertising. However, YouTube’s platform has provided us a platform to to gain, in my case 130 subscribers. Merry Christmas everyone!!!!!!
Small Win
I'm a small channel with 12 subs and 9 videos. This morning one of my videos reached 75 views! The most so far. It may not seem like much to most, but it made me smile. This video is my absolute favorite because the place is so special to me. The video was about chasing the Michigan sunrise.

YouTube Automation?
We’ve had a lot of spam messages from people promoting YouTube automation. Thankfully, the administration here takes them down pretty fast once they are reported. Don’t fall for this scam. If you’re curious, watch this video.

@Mike Bayer I figured these scammers were actually teaching creators how to use “YouTube automation”, evidently copying others scripts l, for a price. But I didn’t reallze the extent, I didn’t think they had their own Skool communities, where they make their own”real money” from the desperate creators “pain point” ot needing money deceptively of course. Great share! True investigative journalism here
Fake Collaborations (Taking advantage)
Don’t be fooled into fake collaborations! Yes, other creators will sometimes ask you if you want to collaborate, but not do a video where both of you are in it, like a real podcast, or you do videos helping each other in some sort of true collaborative way. What collaborations are not. Collaborations are not putting someone else’s content on your channel l. Don’t fall for it! Unfortunately, unethical creators exist. Just like the DMers that want to “work” with us supposedly. Just a heads up. In collaborations. Both of you should be involved in some way

I’m a 53 year old New Jersey resident who shows and tells the history of local historic sites. That’s local history for me, what’s your local history
