Three Meals for Fuel
I am leaving town for a conference and a wedding and I’m curious what tips anyone has for staying on track while traveling. Here are the three meals I am putting together to focus on fuel for my body, which Michele in her video asks us to post: Meal 1 Egg whites + broccoli & tomatoes + strawberries & wild blueberries Meal 2 Chicken breast + roasted zucchini, asparagus, tomatoes + apple slices Meal 3 Shrimp + roasted zucchini, asparagus, tomatoes + orange slices I’m excited to switch my body’s fuel source and see what eating this way makes me feel like and what results I get. I’ve already been on a journey to cut out seed oils and ultra processed foods, but I plan to focus on elimination of oil and sugar for the 7 day reset. I think I have indeed turned on the survival mechanism in my body by not feeding it enough of the things it needs.

Love this 🙌 @Meagan Jones ....You’re planning ahead instead of “winging it” — awesome job. Your meals look great: lean protein + veggies + fruit + no oils/sugar. That’s exactly how we support hormone balance and shift into fat-burning mode when we take clients through the full 40 day Fast40 System. Quick travel tips: • If eating out, request no oils/fats be added to your meal • Remember to Hydrate (1/2 your body weight in oz.... ex if you're 120lbs, drink about 60oz) • Don’t aim for perfect — aim for consistent And great awareness about under-fueling. That's huge. This week is about signaling safety to your body, not restriction. You’re doing great!

Keep it simple !!!
Just something I wanted to share from this morning. I’ve realized that once I understood my body and how important fueling is - the formula becomes pretty simple! This round started off frustrating for me because I was fighting the daily habits (fueling, water, adding in too much movement) and now I’m stepping back and focusing on the big areas: 1. Fuel 8 oz 2. Upping ounces if movement is up 3. Water intake 3. Sleep Hope this encourages someone today!!!

PSA - these weight loss drugs are bad. Really bad. I’m a living example of how they can destroy your system and wreak havoc in your body. I’m here at square one having regained all the weight I lost by starving myself. I had to quit taking them due to pancreas issues and gastroparesis. I felt like I was dying- I know it sounds dramatic but when you end up in Urgent Care it’s no joke. And now I’m eating a ton of food and losing weight- except yesterday. I gained back .5lbs because I didn’t eat enough and my body went into starvation mode. It did this very easily and quickly, which I know is another side effect of the drug. Drugs are bad mmkay? Wish I had known about this program two years ago- but now I know better so I do better!
