The State
I noticed myself gently shift my head and upper torso positioning when doing the guided body scan like element. I have nerd neck and my neck usually leans forward and it gently lifted to a more normal posture. I thought that was pretty cool. Gunna keep meditating! Gunna keep hitting the classroom for State lessons!! Excited to be here again!

First day of jiu jitsu o.o
I am excited to start learning martial arts near my home. Grappling is intense!! Learning the reason for doing what you’re doing and then going against a guy who knows way more than you all while trying to use what I was learning and adapt to the sorta unknowns of my opponent, whooooooaaa haha. Scary, exhausting, suuuuper informative and motivating to want to learn more for whenever I need it. I’m excited to practice the state, SNT and chain punches way more now haha. Gotta work out more too!! I don’t know my limits/pacing and was getting pretty gassed in there!!

Running live sessions for the Academy and tending to life’s essentials reminded me that training doesn’t always look like form and practice. It also lives in how we show up for what truly matters. The Taoist reminder, “Care for small matters and the great will take care of itself,” felt especially relevant, as this recalibration of focus has actually made my practice feel more grounded, more integrated. In many ways, the week wasn’t a break from Kung Fu, but a deeper embodiment of it, lived through service, structure, and sincere prioritization.

I love you, man!! Haha. But seriously, glad someone is in the Way, the Path, learning it on their own really and truly. I hope to jump into the community when I get a bit more grounded myself! Just took Peaceful Warrior Jiu Jitsu’s 30 day free trial on and am doing morning training 5 days a week starting Monday! I’ll definitely post then! I’ve been running a lot and started pushups sit-ups and squats. I hope to get state, siu nim Tao, and chain punch training in too daily! Very excited to learn and practice! Just struggle with state training because…as he says…I am the state…but I’m willing to try it and share my reflections on the state because my first time through I saw a lot of potentially cool insights :D.
