@Jennifer Deiana I noticed you are into Forest Therapy - could you share a little more about what that is and how it works? Sounds interesting...

@Jennifer Deiana Thank you so much for that kind offer. I'm from the US, but I do live amongst the woods here and never realized how precious that truly is. That's so beautiful you help som many with this, I can imagine it is a really supportive experience. It's wonderful to meet you. I'm at the beginning of my journey to heal my nervous system. I'm here to find community with other, learn new tools and build some safety within my body to be the best version of myself. Im enjoying learning all these new modalities and therapies and supports. I'm excited to try some out and find those that really resonates and help me on my path 😊
What was your first experience of a yoga class like?
Curious to hear what your first yoga class was like and what your experience was. I remember after my first class I felt an amazing sense of presence driving home in my car. The class was hard and technical, and I of course didn’t know any of the poses. After about 2 or 3 classes I became interested in doing the arm balances and from there I was hooked! My first class was a few years ago. I remember not being able to quite my brain enough to pay attention to the instructor. I felt really out of my element as I was not used to do any of this and everyone there seems to naturally be able to do everything. The poses were hard and I felt like I was holding my breath constantly because I was so nervous. I pretty much said that is not my thing. Fast forward to now, I did and online class earlier this year and it was so relaxing. The comfort of my own home, it felt very natural and the breathing just flowed. Now I'm interested in learning all about it so I can feel that peacefulness more often.

Thank you. I'm very new to yoga still and it's good to know this going forward
What to do when you're feeling stuck in rumination
A great thing to do when you're feeling stuck in rumination is to take action towards something. You feel better after taking action because it changes your internal state, even before the external result is fully realized. Core mechanisms of how Action helps: 1. Reduction of uncertainty: Inaction = unknown outcome → stress Action = movement → perceived controlYour brain relaxes when uncertainty drops 2. Sense of control (agency): Action signals: “I can influence this” That directly reduces anxiety and helplessness 3. Dopamine release: The brain rewards progress, not just outcomes Taking action triggers forward-motion chemistry 4. Closure of the intention gap: You had a goal → you acted on it That alignment reduces internal tension 5. Momentum effect: Action creates evidence of capability This builds confidence and makes the next action easier 6. Interrupts rumination: Thinking without acting loops stress Action breaks the loop and redirects energy You feel better because action increases control, reduces uncertainty, and signals progress to the brain.

This really makes sense how action is the key here. I normally find myself stuck in the loop. I look forward to trying an action to break this. Thank you
Breathwork
What's your experience doing breathwork? Have you tried it and how has it helped? Looking to add more content around breathwork very soon.

I've tried it a little and so far have really found it supportive. Box breathing, 4 & 8, and straw breathing for myself. With my kids we've done Hot Cocoa breath, flower breathing, and warming your hands breathing. I look forward to learning more for myself and to help them. The breath has been helpful in feeling that tingly calm sensation after.
