šŸ’Ŗ Something I Never Thought I’d Do…
Chin-ups were always a goal of mine… but for years, I couldn’t do even one. Last year, at 50, I finally did it. Actually… I did 2. Now?šŸ‘‰ I can do 4. No extreme plan—just consistency over time. I’m sharing this because it’s easy to think, ā€œmaybe I can’t do thatā€¦ā€But you can get stronger. At any age. What’s a physical goal you’ve always wanted to achieve? šŸ‘‡ šŸ’œ

That's amazing!!! Congratulations. What's your goal number??? I have always wanted to have a runners body, which means I would run regularly and maybe run a 1/2 marathon. Not sure if that is possible with my achy joints and my advanced asthma, but it's still there in the back of my mind.
🌸 Hormones After 40 – Day 3: The ā€œI’m Doing Everything Rightā€ Feeling
Have you ever felt like… You’re eating pretty well You’re trying to stay active You’re doing what used to work …but your body just isn’t responding the same? That was one of the most frustrating parts for me. It wasn’t like I ā€œlet myself go.ā€ It felt like my body just… changed the rules without telling me. Hormones can impact: - How your body uses energy - Where your body stores fat (hello midsection) - How full or hungry you feel - Even how motivated you are to stay consistent So sometimes it’s not about doing more… It’s about doing things differently. ✨ Small shift to try today: Before changing everything, focus on one anchor habit — like getting enough protein at your first meal or going for a short walk after dinner. Question for you today: šŸ‘‰ Have you ever felt like your body isn’t responding the way it used to? A. Yes — and it’s frustrating B. Sometimes, depending on the day/week C. Not really, but I’m starting to notice small changes D. I’m not sure what’s going on with my body lately

🌸 Hormones After 40 – Day 4: The Mood Rollercoaster
One minute you feel fine… The next, you’re irritated, emotional, or just off—for no clear reason. That was one of the hardest parts for me. Not just feeling it… but not understanding why. Hormones can impact your: - Mood - Patience - Stress response - Even how you handle everyday situations And it can feel like you’re on a rollercoaster you didn’t sign up for. ✨ Small shift to try today: Before reacting, pause and ask: ā€œIs this me… or could this be hormonal?ā€ That awareness alone can change everything. Question for you: šŸ‘‰ Do you ever feel like your mood or energy shifts out of nowhere? A. Yes — and it’s frustrating B. Yes — like a rollercoaster C. Sometimes, depending on the day D. Not really, but I notice small changes

Ooh, I don't like either option šŸ™ˆ I used to be a burpee fan, but my knees aren't as cooperative at this weight. I love a good walk, but I tried the 12-3-30 method (12% incline, 3 mph, 30 min) and ooh, it was tough!!! I got bored quickly, but it totally kicked my butt cardiovascular wise. Don't make me choose 🤣
✨ Reset Week — Day 4
Momentum Creates Motivation Most people think motivation comes first. But psychology shows the opposite. Action creates motivation. When you take even a small step, your brain releases dopamine — the chemical that helps you feel energized to keep going. So the secret isn’t waiting to feel motivated. It’s starting small and letting momentum build. āœ… Today’s Reset Step Attach your habit to something you already do. Examples: - Stretch after brushing your teeth - Walk after dinner - Protein after your morning coffee - This is called habit stacking, and it makes routines much easier to stick with. šŸ’¬ Quick check-in:What small action did you take today? One word answers work! Examples: walk protein water stretch
