Pottery App?
Hello lovely Pottery people! Quick question, do any of you use a Pottery app for recording your glaze combos and results? I’m looking for an App that I can write glaze combos and take a photo of before and after results, to store in the App. Nothing to complicated, but thought you lovely pottery people may have some suggestions. TIA 😊

@Ona Papageorgiou Thanks Ona, a few people seem to be using Clay lab, so I’m definitely going to have a look, I need to try and keep it as simple as possible because I just don’t have the head space at the moment for anything to complicated 😂🙏

🌿 May Challenge: “Alles Neue bringt der Mai” 🌿
This month, we’re diving into glazes. Inspired by Sarah from Three Little Potters, this challenge is all about testing, exploring, and rethinking what we already have. We all have those glazes. The ones we rarely reach for. The ones we tend to avoid… because they never quite turned out the way we hoped. Colors that feel off. Results that disappoint. Tests that didn’t go as planned. So this month, we’re choosing one of them. ✨ Pick one glaze you don’t like (or don’t trust yet) ✨ Combine it with 5 different glazes you already know and trust ✨ Test them layered, top & bottom, side by side — get curious ✨ Share your results How you do it? Completely up to you. Test tiles, small dishes, a cup, a plate… everything on one piece or separate tests — there’s no right or wrong way. This is about experimentation.🧪🔬 Try unusual combinations. 🤪 Push it further than you normally would. Be bold with it. At the end, take a moment to reflect: What worked? What didn’t? What surprised you? The goal isn’t perfection. It’s discovery.💡 And maybe, just maybe, the glaze you’ve been avoiding comes back to life. ✨ Share your process, your tests, your results ✨ Let’s learn from each other ✨ And turn “unloved” glazes into something unexpected

@Jeanette Stevens Ha ha, at one time I was so invested in Olivine having supposedly seen so many beautiful combos, but alas it killed the relationship quite quickly by being dull, boring, and positively uncooperative. I’m now wondering if i dreamt the combos into being and they didn’t really exist, and I’m not entirely convinced Olivine deserves a second chance. 🤣🤣 Ok I’ve decided to give it another go, but I’ve told it, if it doesn’t behave this time, it will be binned never to be seen in my studio again! Now…………this isn’t me being defeatist………just a realist……….In preparation for the results does anyone want a free bottle of Olivine 🤣🤣 (well ok part bottle there may be a bit taken out!!! 😃)

Really enjoyed the group chat yesterday! Thanks so much everyone, it was so much fun! Here are a couple of things that came out of my kiln yesterday. I will be uploading the kiln opening soon! As you can see, I love fairies! I think the moon fairy is my favorite.

Fire destroyed everything
We had a fire last week in our shop. It had destroyed everything. I will spend the next few weeks to months dealing with insurance. Nothing is left.
