✝️One Tao Family… We’re Back.☯️
If you’ve been here before, you remember this space. Life got full. Travel. Teaching. Family. So we closed the doors for a while. But people kept asking to come back. Because this place let them 'feel' The State. Not just learn it. Experience it. So we reopened it. This time simpler. Stronger. More focused. Before, there was too much content. People got overwhelmed and did nothing. Now there’s one clear path: The 7-Day Enter The State Challenge 7 lessons. Internal power. Inner peace. Martial strength. Spiritual alignment. Enough to change how you feel. Enough to change how you move. Enough to change how you live. What You Get Here • The 7-Day Challenge • A real community to talk and grow • Updates on live, in-person events • New videos and teachings • Access to One Tao Style and more YouTube is content. This is a home. If you’ve been quiet, this is your sign. Come back. Say hello. Start the 7-Day Challenge. Don’t just watch. Participate. Welcome back to the One Tao Family. Peace, Love and Kung Fu! DAILY MANTRA/QUOTE: After the storm of discipline, return to the calm of the everyday. That’s where the art becomes who you are. INTERMITTENT FASTING DAY 1 3:30am: Peace, Power & Precision 🥷 4am: Philosophy, Q&A 👨🏽‍🎓 6:30am: Cold Shower 🥶 Morning Aarti ~ Guyatri Mantra ~ Bhastrika Pranyama ~ Chum Kiu x 2 ~ Siu Nim Tao x 2 ~ Biu Gee x 2 🥋 7:30am: Running 3mi (5k)🏃🏽 9am: Teach Vinyasana Yoga 🧘🏽‍♂️ 10:30am: Peace, Power & Precision 🥷 11am Siu Nim Tao 12pm-2pm: Teach Wing Chun (Siu Nim Tao ~ Chi Sao/Choh Ma Drills & Traps ~ Chit Sao/Dai Sao/Lop Da/Pak Da Drills~ JKD Punch Training (1,120 punches)🥋 3pm: Teach Wing Chun (Siu Nim Tao ~ Chi Sao/Choh Ma Drills & Traps ~ Chit Sao/Dai Sao/Lop Da/Pak Da Drills~ JKD Punch Training (1,120 punches)🥋 4:30pm: JKD Punch Training (1,120 punches) 🥷 5:30pm:Peaceful Power Session 🥷 6pm: Seek The Bridge - Chum Kiu 🌉 DAILY OBSERVATIONS/INSIGHTS: Getting back into my regular groove today felt like slipping into something that actually fits again. I heard somewhere once that,”Even the fiercest tiger must descend the mountain to drink from the river. Return to your simple life…not to forget your training, but to remember why it matters.” After pushing hard for several months, this return to normal life isn’t a retreat, it’s a reset. The schedule’s a bit lighter, more sustainable, and honestly, just more human. I’m still training, but now it feels like I’m weaving it into my life instead of running ahead of it. The dogs are hyped I’m back to our usual morning runs, and I’m remembering the joy in the small things again…the kind of joy that reminds me why I train in the first place.

Sometimes it feels more like calm is present in my discipline and the storm is everyday
Bruce’s “Striking Thoughts” ~ The Ego (Self-Consciousness)
“Ego-consciousness is clinging. - This clinging and possessive ego-consciousness, seeking to affirm itself in "liberation," craftily tires to outwit reality by rejecting the thoughts it "possesses" and emptying the mirror of the mind, which it also "possesses" ~ emptiness itself is regarded as a possession and an "attainment."”

DAILY MANTRA/QUOTE: “When the blade is forgotten, and the breath is remembered, the warrior begins to understand.” — Old Ryukyu Saying 7am: Cold Shower 💦 Morning Aarti ~ Anulom Vilom Pranayama ~ Chum Kiu x 2 ~ Siu Nim Tao x 2 ~ Biu Gee x 2 7am: Teach Power Flow Yoga🧘🏽‍♂️ 9am: 3mi (5k)🏃🏽 10:45: Teach Gentle Yoga 🧘🏽‍♂️ 12:30-2pm: Teach Wing Chun & T’ai Chi; (Siu Nim Tao) Chi Sao/Choh Ma Drills & Traps ~ Chit Sao/Dai Sao/Lop Da/Pak Da Drills ~ JKD Punching (1,120 punches x 2) 🥷 2pm-4pm: Teach Wing Chun & Escrima; (Siu Nim Tao) Chi Sao/Choh Ma Drills & Traps ~ Single Sinawali ~ Heaven & Earth Drills ~ Hubad-Lubad (Disarming/Sensitivity) ~ JKD Punching (1,120 punches)🥷 5:30pm: Peaceful Power Session 🧘🏽‍♂️ 6pm: Thrusting Fingers - Biu Gee 🙌🏽 7pm: Supper ( 🍗 🥦 ) 😋 DAILY OBSERVATIONS/INSIGHTS: From the moment I stepped into the frigid shower in the morning, to the final thrust of Biu Gee training in the evening, everything pointed back to breath today. Its rhythm in Anulom Vilom, its guidance through each punch, each transition, and each student interaction. Even amidst the structure of soooo many JKD punching reps and the complexity of Chi Sao traps or Sinawali, the real through line wasn’t the blade, the drill, or even the form…it was the awareness riding the breath. The breath was my teacher as I taught Power Flow, my anchor in my run, my compass in Escrima, and my quiet strength in State meditation. With so much going on in my life these days; breath has stopped being something I control and started becoming something I simply trust🙏🏽 Is that the shift the old Ryukyu master spoke of; where the warrior stops trying to do and simply starts to be? As the day moved on, my techniques blurred together, but my presence actually sharpened. So the inquiry becomes: Can I train not just with discipline, but with devotion to breath~led presence? AND…can I find a way to guide my students there?? Not just toward better forms, but toward the understanding that comes when effort actually dissolves into perceptual awareness?? I guess time will tell?🫸🏽🤛🏽🤓🤍💫

DAILY MANTRA/QUOTE: Train until your mind forgets, and your body remembers. 6am: Cold Shower 💦 Morning Aarti ~ Anulom Vilom Pranayama ~ Chum Kiu x 2 ~ Siu Nim Tao x 2 ~ Biu Gee x 2 7:30am: Peloton Spin Tabata 🚴🏽 9am: Instruct T’ai Chi 🥋 10:30am: Instruct Power Flow Yoga🧘🏽‍♂️ 1pm: Weight training🏋🏽 2pm: Peaceful Power Precision 🥷 2:30pm: Siu Nim Tao Training 🌪️ 3pm: Teach Wing Chun; (Siu Nim Tao) Chi Sao/Choh Ma Drills & Traps ~ Chit Sao/Dai Sao/Lop Da/Pak Da Drills ~ JKD Punch Set (1,120 Punches) 🥋 READING: The Biology of Belief: by Bruce Lipton Ph.D.🤓 8pm: Supper (🥑 🍅 🥚) H2O INTAKE 💧: 135Oz (4L) DAILY OBSERVATIONS/INSIGHTS: “If you knew you had to fight for your life tomorrow, would you change your training today?” That quote from Bruce often strikes me harder than any punch ever could. It constantly inspires me to confront my chosen commitments. In Wing Chun, progress isn’t about flashy moves or perfect form. It’s about showing up attuned to powers synonymous with The Nim Tao State. Even when I’m tired, busy, and/or unmotivated. Every time I step into my dojo/kwoon, I’m not just training my body; I’m training my mind to be disciplined, focused, and ready. I truly believe, consistency is the invisible force behind every skilled martial artist. Miss a day, and it seems like nothing. Miss a week, and my timing slips. Miss a month, and I’m no longer the same martial artist I was a month ago. It seems to me that most folks wait for motivation to strike. But the truth is, motivation is a feckin’ liar! It shows up when it feels like it, instead of when I need it. Discipline is what carries me through every time. Especially on days when I’m not performing at my best, simply being there matters. Because when that pivotal moment comes; I know I will can fall back on the level of my training. So I show up. Every time it is possible. Not for points or perfection, but for personal progress. Not because I have too, but because deep down I know I can
