Tracking Expenses
Hello All, I have a super boring question but an important one. How are fellow facilitators tracking their expenses for tax write off purposes? I am currently using a standard excel spreadsheet and saving hard copy receipts. But is there a smarter way? Do let me know what has worked well for you.

Hi Keri, I started using the accounting website Waveapp, itโ€™s free and itโ€™s been useful to manage last yearโ€™s expenses. I donโ€™t have complicated accounting needs (yet!) to justify paying an accountant or more comprehensive software. I liked that I can create invoices and have banking transactions sync. It did require a bit of setup and double checking all my transactions!
Any ideas?
I would greatly appreciate any suggestions you might have for a workshop I am planning. In this workshop, colleagues will be introduced to the results of an impactful research. Those results directly affect their work, so instead of just raising their awareness of these findings we want to actually plan some actions with them. We are a bit stuck on how to actually achieve a practical outcome for this meeting. Our hope is that participants will be able to relate the information they just heard to their daily work and leave with a feeling that these results directly affect them. Which exercises and methods do you see would help us to achieve that? Thank you in advance! :)

Hi Elisabeth, I do quite a bit of similar processes following reporting out of culture assessment results. The gap to bridge is usually from group-level or org-level results meaning to individual-level meaning. They'd need to see the relevance to their particular work situation to identify what could be something to change, improve, work on, etc (raising individual change awareness). Probably some facilitated discussion around how they can relate the research results to their work life would be a start. Next would be to explore the benefits of applying actions. I won't walk you through the psychological change process here to get from awareness to committed action but that's essentially what planning a goal setting / strategy session would achieve. Others might have more specific activities to share!
Hello from Colorado!
Hello fellow facilitators! I'm Martin, a Canadian hailing from Denver. I've been facilitating leadership development workshops for the last 15 years. I joined recently and I'm really glad to have found this community, as being a sole master facilitator in one's organization can be isolating sometimes. I look forward to exchange ideas, seek out collaboration opportunities and find ways to support the community! Cheers! ๐Ÿ”๏ธ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฆโ„๏ธ
