Table Saw vs. Miter Saw - Which one should I get?
📣Question From the Community: I can't decide if I should get a table saw or a miter saw. I've been weighing the pros and cons, but I'm still indecisive and thought I could use your help. > Table Saw - straight cuts, versatile, good for large projects, can occupy more space though > Miter Saw - angled cuts, good for projects where accuracy matters more, more portable I see the benefits of both of them, and I probably will have both down the line. But right now, I'm on a budget and I don't have a lot of space. So I have to pick which one to buy first. What's your take on my table saw vs. miter saw dilemma? Thanks a bunch for helping me out!

My first real project was replacing the baseboard in my home. So a miter saw made sense. For a lot of small projects a miter saw and a circular saw with a good straight edge work fine. A table saw is a huge addition though. I have both now. And use both.
Are Harbor Freight's Tools Worth Buying?
A lot of you enjoyed my video on Ryobi tools... and a few people got mad about it. Oh, well. I'm at it again, stirring the pot and giving my two-and-a-half cents worth; this time, about Harbor Freight and their tools. The short version is some is good and some is not so good. Take a look at the video and leave us a comment on YouTube, if you like it. That helps promote the channel and our community of woodworkers. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vNpSqbomkIo

Just to add to Rich’s great video. HF has upped their game in terms of quality in the past couple of years. And with the increase in quality comes an increase in prices. I looked closely at the Hercules miter saw. Went with Ryobi 10 inch but looked closely at the Hercules.

For some reason my reply to Rich didn’t post. Woodworking and old tool restoration help keep me going. Started a couple of years ago and have now restored an old craftsman table saw. Now I’m doing a full restore on an old craftsman drill press.

Covered in rust. Had a heck of a time getting the old blade off. The arbor just needed some intensive cleaning though. Motor needed very little work. Didn’t even have to replace the bearings. This model is from the late ‘80’s.
