Need help — I’m destroying my cutting board
Hello everyone, this is Rani. I’m still in my first year of woodworking. I made a cutting board and I ran into two problems: 1- While planing it, I realized I can’t use my hand planer in both directions. Some parts of the wood got chipped out, and I think it’s because I glued the strips in opposite grain directions. So if I go one way, I ruin the adjacent strip. 2- I used a router and guided it with a piece of wood to make a shallow groove around the frame, but it didn’t come out straight. Then when I tried going slower, I ended up cutting too deep in some spots. Any advice would really help, thank you

Butcher block table
I want to make a butcher block table. What is the smallest length of board I can use. I have a ton of 4 to 10 inch pieces of hardwood. I would love to use all of them to make a table about 5 feet long. They are all about 2 inches thick or should I use them to make a cutting board only?
Project suggestions?
Hi, I am a beginner wood worker that want to make some projects, I don't have space for a table saw, jointer, band saw, router table or track saw in my workshop/shed.Any suggestion on what project I can make?

💪 What’s the First Thing You Built That Made You Proud?
I'll be the first to start: I felt comfortable with rough carpintry, but never did "woodworking." Our first granddaughter was on the way, and I wanted to build something for them. They asked for a changing table. I bought the would (ash), and it sat for months. I was petrified about the need for exact measurements and precision. With support and encouragement from a friend, I got started. It wasn't perfect: the deesign used stock that was too thick. and the table weighs a ton; miter joints weren't precise. But I was happy with the result (and more importantly they were), and I became hooked.....
