We Need to Talk 💛
I’m currently watching Angela throw live on my phone — and it’s just the most beautiful thing. Gigi is there, Sarah, Pat, Denise, Mary, Ronda… and Lori from Wandering Soul too. We’re all in the chat together, reacting, cheering her on. And it hit me. We’re all there… but we can’t actually talk to each other. So let’s change that. 💪🏻 What if we start a weekly community call?🪿 We could pick a time that works best for most of us, and then meet once a week right here on Skool. Just one hour. Nothing complicated. Everyone who wants to can share their “Piece of the Week” — something you’re working on, something you finished, a struggle, a question, an idea. You’ll have the space to show your work, ask for feedback, and just connect.✨ No pressure. Just pottery people hanging out, supporting each other. What do you think? Would you join? 💛

This is a great idea, but I don't know how it works. With the camera? Phone? Or just a chat here?
Sending Love and Hugs to Jeanette
Jeanette, Thinking of you so much today, and sending every bit of strength, comfort, and healing your way. You have been such a light of positivity — not just in the pottery community, but in the lives of everyone lucky enough to learn from you. Even though we haven’t met in person (yet!), I’ve always felt a strong connection with you all the way from here in the US to you in the UK. You were one of the very first potters I discovered on YouTube, and I’ve binge-watched every one of your videos. I’ve learned so much from you — your tips, your calm encouragement, your joy in every kiln opening. Because of you, I have a Potters Underglaze Pad and stamps, and I do my best to keep my studio neat and organized (or at least try!) because I always think of your setup and how inspiring it is. One day, I truly hope to travel across the pond and meet you — and maybe share a cuppa and some clay time with you and the other wonderful potters over there. Today is Thanksgiving here in the US, and I’m feeling especially grateful for this incredible pottery community. The support, the kindness, the creativity — and the way we can feel so close across oceans — it’s something truly special. Thank you for being such a big part of that. Wishing you a smooth surgery, an easy recovery, and so much love today. You’ve got an entire community lifting you up. 💛🌿

Thinking of you Jeanette
A little scared
I'm usually a pretty private person. However, I feel like I'm among friends here, and among people who can understand my trepidation. You see, I'm about to have ACDF surgery. For the last couple of months I've been having pain, tingling and cramping in my hands and arms. Turns out I've got a couple of discs in my neck pressing on the spinal cord. So they are going to operate on the 16th. I've pretty much stopped doing pottery for the last couple of months because of this, and will not be able to lift or bend for a couple months after. I'm told that this surgery is over 90% effective permanently, but there's always some risk, so I'm a bit nervous. Anyway, I kind of wanted just to vent to someone other than those who live with me every day, and to people who understand what it would be like to not be able to make mud into art. I'm not looking for sympathy, just some encouragement to help me feel just a little braver about what lies ahead. Thanks to all of you for understanding!

Participate more
Sorry Suza. I know I have not been participating like I should I will definitely do more. I love this way of communicating with others that you have done. I watched your video on plates and loved it and how you are wanting more participation from the shy one ( like me ). You will be hearing from me more
