Stress Testing AEVUM: Free Download, Need Your Help
Hey everyone, I've been building a desktop app called AEVUM. It's a time tracker built specifically for music producers. It runs in the background, detects your DAW automatically, and tracks how long you spend on each project. No manual timers, no clicking start/stop. Right now I'm looking for people to stress test it. The app is completely free to download and use. ⚠️ Fair warning: you will probably run into bugs. ⚠️ This is still early and that's exactly why I need real people using it. The more eyes on it, the faster I can fix things. If you find something weird, broken, or just off, I'd really appreciate it if you let me know. Drop a comment here or shoot me a DM. Download: https://aevum-time-tracker.netlify.app/ Enter an email to activate the free version. Thanks for helping me make this thing solid. Cheerio, Alex

For Mac users: If the application won't open because of security reasons, you need to manually allow to open it in "Privacy & Security" at the bottom. It works and reads Logic on my Mac.

@Alex Pfeffer $99/month that sounds nuts to me!
Recap of LiveCall 17th Feb 2026
I want to give you a quick recap of what we have covered in our live coaching call, so you can get the key insights even if you couldn't make it. Think of these posts as your cheat sheet for each session. Let me know in the comments if you find this helpful! If you're not part of Audio Artist Rise yet and posts like this make you curious about what we do in the live calls, check out the program. We do multiple live coaching sessions every week covering everything from trailer music production to game music careers, business strategy, and more. You can find all the details on the Audio Artist Rise page. Now let's get into it! 🎬 MUSIC PRODUCTION FEEDBACK, AI IN MUSIC, AND CLIENT WORK STRATEGIES This call covered a wide range of topics, from detailed track feedback on hero trailer music and fantasy scores, to practical demo reel optimization, the role of AI in the music industry, setting up professional domains, and how to price your first paid game music gig. Here is everything broken down. 🎛️ MIXING AND MASTERING: CONTEXT MATTERS Different genres and use cases demand different mastering approaches. A trailer track might sound "hot" to one listener and perfectly punchy to another. The key is understanding your target context. General guidelines: - Trailer music can sit around minus 8 to minus 10 LUFS, with peaks hitting harder in finale sections - Game music, especially ambient or in game tracks, should focus on balance and consistency over raw loudness - When a track sounds "too hot," it often means the limiting or clipping is too aggressive, making the sound indirect and fatiguing - Always compare your master to reference tracks in the same genre before making final decisions 🎨 DEMO REEL AND PORTFOLIO OPTIMIZATION Your demo reel is your first impression, and small details make a huge difference when sending applications to companies. Profile and branding tips: - Your profile picture should match your target genre. If you are pitching epic trailer music, a photo with an acoustic guitar sends the wrong signal. Use something that looks cinematic or production focused

Best Choir and Violin Plugin?
Hey guys I'm thinking of expanding my plugin collection. Thought about the East west choir wuth the angel and devil cover. Also the Virharmonic violin. The budget would be around those two vsts, they're in sale now for 89€ and 150€ Unless... Someone knows a much better Plugin to get? What choir and violin plugins do you use? Right now I only have Kontakt choir but it sounds very unrealistic and the session strings are difficult to deal with when I wanna make more realistic stuff. So what's your thought?

@Dilara Köseoglu I was in that same “dilemma” too as I was searching for “the right” choir VST myself, just two weeks ago. After hyper focusing on several different libraries and watching way too many reviews on YT, I can say I’m very happy with the decision I made now. However, it’s only so due to the fact that I knew what to expect from the libraries I’ve chosen. And they just fit my style perfectly. So if I can give you any advice, then it would be: Know exactly what kind of genre or niche you want to write in and actually love to compose the most. Then look for a library that has got the matching sound characteristics you would hear in the music you admire from your idols. Or even better do some research what they use as well. There simply can’t be a one size fits all in this regard. Hope this helps a bit :)

Hi everybody, I'm Luka and I'd love to make writing and composing music for video games more than just a hobby! About a year ago I became a composer and sound designer for "Beyond Skyrim". Since then, my passion for video game music has grown ever stronger. What are my goals? - Finding awesome people who are involved in the creation of visionary (indie) video games I can work for and build true long term connections with. 😊 What is your current demo reel? - I have a YT channel and Instagram page. Definitely need a more dedicated website. I'm working on it! 😬 What immediate help do you need? - I kinda need help with two things: 1. building a reliable structured workflow and 2. creating more presence as a composer to attract potential clients (I’m naturally a little reserved about it, though I’m learning to be more confident) I'm very much looking forward to getting to know each and one of you! 🤗
