Pausing, journalling, reflecting, bodyscan. Receiving clarity on what is really happening around me, the undercurrents, the topic not spoken, reason why. Ready next day to have that discussion and speak the truth in a calm manner, that calls out the truth of the situation.

Playing with my granddaughters, hearing them calling to me with excitement in their voices just from seeing me, snuggles in the morning when they come into my bed to wake me up.

I feel my whole body and feet sink into the floor. Realize how fast and shallow I am breathing. Notice the tension in my shoulders. How good it feels to be in a calm state of being.

What’s one moment today where you were more present than usual?

I was very present driving and aware of the environment outside the car, while listening to the ABC Emergency radio station, while driving home on the roads and Highway that had just reopened after the bushfires in Victoria. Very strange to be on the HWY with only a few cars on both sides.
