Struggling Recently
I've been struggling recently... maybe I'm not the only one... I have spent the last 2 years, and invested lots of money into figuring out how to make business work in my life. I started out coaching IT people to be healthier, then moved to dads, then started to focus more on family leadership and that was my focus through the last year. I've now moved on to more system/tech/AI/Automation stuff because that's the stuff I love doing... but I'm realizing there's a bit of a learning curve to some of the things I've been trying to learn, and after a discussion with my wife... I noticed that my mood has shifted some, I'm not as energetic, and I always talk about making "the business" work... and honestly I'm drained, haha. And I think she is too. There are two significant things that I need to work through in my personal life... and have been a main factor over the last 2 years on why I believe things have been hard for me: - I need to build a deeper relationship with God - need to gain control of my binge eating disorder I am avoiding them in an effort to get "the business" going... yet they are the things that if I KNEW I solved... "the business" would be doing exponentially better. My question for the community, because I'm sure I'm not the only one who's been there... What do I do? I still have my Dad Uprising community, so I feel like I need to stick there... drop everything else, and focus on my two big things that I mentioned above... but I also sort of just want to disappear until July (obviously let them know that) and then come back once I've done some deep deep work on myself in those two areas I talked about above. I value and appreciate your feedback ๐Ÿ™

@Josh Ballard, it doesnโ€™t get any more real then this. Thank you so much for sharing. This is the real work, finding your own light, and God is the way. You have the answer, it lies in your own healing with your eating disorder. So many men suffer in silence with this. You know their pain better than anyone. Maybe your community is a safe place for men like yourself to grow. Men who want a deeper relationship with God and relief from unhealthy habits that feel impossible to breakthrough. Let it begin with connection in community and a safe place to grow. No pressure to be more, just a safe place to be you and support others in being them. Our vulnerability can feel so awkward and yet it is so attractive, it helps our clients feel safe Also recently I implemented the power of one in my business and with my clients. Simplifying all things to one offer, one funnel, one channel, one ideal client, one outcome, one focus, one marketing message etcโ€ฆ Mine is calm to cash flow, if it doesnโ€™t create calm in my body and in my business then I dont include it in my offer or anywhere else. Iโ€™m not sure what your one thing is, but hopefully all this babble gave you something to think about. Praying for you!

Life is hard.
If you're going after something big... big goals, big dreams, something new for you . whether that's your health, your relationship, your business, your wealth, whatever. . The expectation that it's somehow going to be easy? That it won't be full of challenges and hardship? . That's naive. . And when the challenges show up, because they will, . the mindset that wants to run away from them? . That's the enemy. That's passivity. That's avoidance. That's smallness. . Because the challenges and frustrations and hardships? That's the invitation. That's the invitation into becoming the version of yourself that's required. . And the small challenge in front of you right now? . You don't even know. But this is the dojo. This is what's required of you because you're going after great things. . This particular frustration or challenge is going to develop you. . It will be used. It'll be God's challenge to us. And it's my belief that God Challenges us because he loves us. . God inspires us with big dreams and desires, and then challenges us along the path so we might become closer with Him. . So we realize our own efforts, our limited selves, our small selves disconnected from God, will never be able to achieve our potential. . Some of the most challenging things in my life have become the things I'm most grateful for. . In the moment, I couldn't see it. But looking back? I wouldn't trade them for the world. - An overwhelming, insurmountable amount of debt. I'm so grateful for that. - Going back to school to get my CFP and rewriting the idea that I'm a bad student. So grateful for that. - Having kids. Jeez. The sleepless nights. The uncertainty. The learning curve. Hard. And so grateful. - Making the choice for our family to go on one income without it being enoughโ€”before we had enough. So grateful. Hard. Really hard. - Marriage. The disagreements. The conflict. Hard. And so so grateful. . And inside all of the challenges for me? The way out has been prayer and faith.
Life is hard.

Love this reflection @Dan Harrison, everything I love in my life has been hard, my marriage, my children, my career, our businesses, our relos and rebirths. ( but not our grandbabies - soooo easy!) But the trick for me is to focus on getting over myself a little bit more every single day so I continue to become the person God intended me to be. And as long as I focus on that, the other things seem to get a little easier.

Gem - Revamped Skool about page for Ad Challenge
I've updated my Skool about page! I didn't change my videos or diagrams, only the copy and added my pyramid diagram. Thanks @Dan Harrison for all that you have taught me over the years (since AVOCADO!). Feedback is good! https://www.skool.com/alhhacademybasics/about
