Thanksgiving Day! 🦃
Reflect on your relationship with food: what would it look like to eat with gratitude instead of guilt today? Carry those reflections and feelings with you all day. Thankful for each and every one of you! Let’s make it a great one. See you back here tomorrow!!

I’m going to fuel my body like I’ve learned how to but also enjoy dishes that I only make this time of year! Mindful eating

@Jared Nosal I wish I could be there so much!
Last Monday in November…
Who taught you something about food or cooking that stuck with you?

My dad went to culinary school and my mom’s family had a small catering company when I was growing up through both I learned A LOT about the art of cooking! BUT (and a big but here) I didn’t learn the healthiness and the need for a balanced diet until in my late 20s early 30s when I got pregnant and wanted to ensure I developed better habits. I found comfort in “bad” foods and I use quotes here bc I don’t think at this point in my life anything is bad in moderation however it’s very hard to moderate when you have an unhealthy relationship. We have talked a lot about the mindshift change and that’s exactly what had to happen for me to change my mindset about food! When I first started to drink coffee I wanted the sweetest frappachino that I could get my hands on then it fizzled to iced coffee etc. now I’m drinking black coffee most of the time with collagen but I needed that frap then now I enjoy the simplicity but also enjoy the flavors of the food! Learning to love every version of me!

What’s something you’re grateful to have access to that nourishes you?

Week 4: Nutrition + Nourishment (Nov 22–30)
The final week. I cannot believe it. Thanksgiving is right ahead of us, but you’ve been practicing gratitude all month long. What change has that made for you? As we head into a week based around feasting, this week’s theme is gratitude for food, mindful nourishment, and a healthy relationship with eating — especially around the holiday season. What’s one food or meal that always brings you comfort?

I think I have to go with my great grandmas yeast rolls with homemade butter and jam!
