Monday!!
Hey everyone! Well, it was another tough night here (fevers and restless sleep) but I managed to sleep until almost 6 (needed it!!!!) And I was able to get myself to spin class because Glenn’s mom came to watch Wesley. I also shoveled the whole sidewalk and both the cars out + cleaned them off before we left (me to spin and Glenn to work) so it was a pretty active day. Spent the afternoon with my little man and also meal prepping (turkey soup for dinner). We wound up at the doctor to test for strep (negative) and now I feel like the virus may be starting with me 😔 Going to play it by ear—hopefully I’ll see you all in the gym tomorrow! 🤞🏼

Hated missing this with you :)
Food for Thought
Which part of this feels easiest for you right now — planning dinners, because we do this in advanced we do it together as a family (give the 5 year old a say in what we eat too) and which feels hardest - not prioritizing eating breakfast right after my workout which then pushes the meal to 8/9/10am and Im overly hungry.

@Amanda Steele letting him pick one dinner is so fun! Then he can help cook too

One A Day Calendar - January
Hey all! Thanks to @Christa Held I signed up for the Blue Zones email. In addition to some great wellness tips, recipes, and other great value in the email, I noticed this cool calendar and wanted to share. https://www.bluezones.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/Blue-Zones-January-One-a-Day.pdf?mc_cid=9a86a3eced&mc_eid=9c097a9944 A reminder for anyone here who has been so focused on just exercising and eating healthy that wellness is a BIG PICTURE job and it is more than how much you move and what you eat. It's also... sleep. deep breathing for stress management. spending time with people you love. doing hobbies or activities you enjoy. keeping a positive, growth mindset. daily learning from influential people you respect or admire. It's so much more than how much you exercise and "eating clean". No pressure to use it, just an additional resource in case you need some extra help staying focused on the bigger picture of wellness this month. xo, Amanda
