What does your 2026 Home lab stack look like?
I tossed out some thoughts on what a 2026 home lab stack might contain. Check out my Ultimate Home Lab Starter Stack for 2026 (Key Recommendations) #homelab #homeserver https://www.virtualizationhowto.com/2025/12/ultimate-home-lab-starter-stack-for-2026-key-recommendations/

@Brandon Lee just saw the current cost for 128 Gb of ram. Didn't realize how bad it was till now. But even more eyepopping is to max out a dell server for ram now days will cost the price of a car. That's insane.
Content blocking ๐Ÿšซ
I have a homelab issue I can't seem to solve. I have children and they are consuming content on YT โ–ถ๏ธ. For some content it's fine by us as parents but some content however..... I tried blocking ๐Ÿšซ content with PiHole and currently running AdGuard Home but both don't seem to do the trick. I have a PfSense firewall and a few VM's and LCX containers running. Is there a solution for this challenge we have as parents to ๐Ÿšซ content?

What Is Your Primary OS Daily Driver
I have two desktops (Win10 Pro and Linux) with my primary daily driver being Linux KDE Neon 6.3.5. Both desktop are linked together using a program called Synergy 3 which allows me to use one set of keyboard and mouse. I can smoothly go between the desktops with the mouse and this also allow me to copy and paste files as well. I also have Bluetooth speakers which is linked to both desktop so I can listen on one and work on the other. I included some pictures.

๐Ÿ”ฅWhat are you running your lab on?
Hey everyone, just wanted to throw out a quick poll on what everyone is using to run their labs. Curious with the VMware by Broadcom shakeup, how many are exploring other hypervisors or technologies.

I am primarily using Proxmox but I do also use XCP-NG (home and work). Been a user of Proxmox since they started and have brushed elbows with their C-levels for a bit.
