Journaling through the winter months 🥶
If you’re like me, the extra cold and extra snowy winter is amping up your seasonal malaise. I wanted to offer two solutions that have been helping me: 1. Keeping a journal where I can write down my feelings and work through whatever’s frustrating me, instead of loosing it upon my husband and friends! I write all my bad feelings first, but 9 times out of 10 by word 500 I’m in a calmer frame of mind and better able to see the good, or make a plan to change things. 2. My journaling community! Everyone there is so warm and chatty. I love seeing what everyone is up to, learning about everyone’s different processes for journaling, and getting stationery recs — one member even recommended my new favorite pen. I love touching base with creative, warm hearted people in a group that isn’t about making money, changing myself, or pressure. If this sounds like something you could use, come check out my group, Journaling with Kayleigh. You can try it out free for 7 days, and see if it helps you get through the winter blues.

Send an email to your future self.
This month in my journaling group we're incorporating letters into our journaling. Today's prompt is an interesting one.... Did you know you can schedule an email to yourself in the future? - Gmail allows you to schedule an email up to 49 years in the future - FutureMe allows you to email any email address up to 10 years ahead. What do you have to say to your future self?

@Dr. Severine Bryan I think he probably just lost the letters or forgot. I don't think anyone else from my class got them. Hope I didn't stick $5 in there!
What post in The Classifieds worked for you?
Hi fellow Skoolers! I have to be honest, I have been a lurker in this group for a while because I find it intimidating! I've read the posts with tips about kinds of posts that do best, but I'd love to hear from you personally what you did in a Classifieds post to bring members to your group. Thanks in advance!

Sprint! The word I forgot was "sprint" and it starts on Monday! 🚀
The posting party was a ton of fun, and now we're going to continue the fun with a Classroom Ad Sprint. If you are a premium member, you have the opportunity to promote yourself in an "ad" in the classroom. Some of you have already taken advantage of this, but many of you haven't and I have a feeling it's either because it's been pushed down your to-do list, or you just aren't too sure what to put in it. So we're going to solve both of those problems. The lovely @Sondra Verva has been kind enough to create an amazing custom GPT to guide us along on the creation process. So whether you have an ad in the classroom or not, you might want to play along as a way of improving what you already have. I know that's what I'll be doing. My ad is not a great example right now!!! The sprint will be 6 days long with a new prompt posted in the community each day. You need to be a premium member to participate in this one and the goal is at least 100 ads in the classroom by the end of the week! 🌟 Are you ready for this one? It's going to be epic! Post your best "Let's Get It Done" gif below if you are in. 😉
