Can I ask some about philosophy here?
I HATE when I see people complaining in the book reviews. About the PEARLS that an author share in his $20 book. Like "the book sucked because it only had the authors TOP TEN BEST SELLING email campaigns and no how tos.." (spoon feeding mentality) Or when they complain about the information as DATED Without even trying to relate the CONTEXT to its own life's situation or TIMING... I imagine a person with bottle bottom glasses trying to discover A WHOLE NEW WORLD without notice its already WALKING ON IT. (Or reading in this case..) This fragment from an OLD BOOK. "Few people appreciate free gifts. They are like the man whom admiring townsfolk presented with a watch. He looked it over critically for a minute. Thenā€”ā€Where’s the chain?ā€ he asked." Its all about VALUE DELIVERY, QUALITY CONTENT and what not. (Not talking about SEO purposes ) Hell! even my dog has a tiktok with tips on, how to find the right pole to pee... I honestly see it as a TON of BS because today freaking AI can spit out whatever and the perception of "value" is diluted. Its all about Bait.. reel .. release, repeat -- pull and catch!? --Or how do you manage to weight on what you give, what you charge for and how much? -- I get that about the value equation and I have a framework using the TIMER dimensions or Maslow's pyramid or LF8s... Probably Travis already talk about it or leave the breadcrumbs. But I would like hear your thoughts on the matter. You can tell me if I need to shut up about this stuff around here If it doesn't make sense or apply.

@David Harrison I'll go back to the kitchen table to work in my sandwich recipe if I think in travis terms, while I keep digging this forum because I know many answers are here. Thanks for your answer

Hey @Chris Dyson sounds good, I have the right structure for that. Much appreciated.
Community Growth Ideas Please!
What's up land Mojo... I've been working on my group, Raising Entrepreneurial Kids, ever since I left Travis in Little Rock. Here's the strategy/results so far: - Posting 2-3 times per week - Started doing interviews with other parents - Posting on my FB and old email list to direct people to the group - Talking & adding value in other groups - 65 members, no attempt at monetization I'm struggling with two things... growth and engagement. I thought that interviews would help increase the growth rate, as it taps into other people's audiences (while also being super valuable and interesting). Engagement proves hard too, even with encouragement... a lot of people just like to lurk. I've talked this through with @James Foster and @Adrian Hall - both had super helpful points. But I also want to tap into the brain trust here. Firstly, my two concern that may or may not be reality... 1. My group isn't focused on ROI, it's also not focused directly on the group member. Obviously, people care about their kids... but there's no fixed outcome I can really promise here. 2. Skool feels like a suboptimal platform for the growth & engagement side of things when compared to facebook. People log in to Facebook every day... not so much with Skool. But I do consider this a minor concern. Secondly, some further ideas I've had... 1. Instead of locking the interviews away in the Skool group - put them on YouTube and point people to the group. However, I could see the same issue here with getting the word out about the YouTube channel. 2. A 7-day "sell your stuff" challenge. I've polled the group on this, but I could see this being a $7 offer I run traffic to - to bring people into the group. So... Any ideas on the above... Or what I could do to boost growth & engagement? TY

@Chris Wright Kids are the decision maker in this transaction, but the parents are the salesmen.. You need to sell them to sell their kids on a plan... And its rare when parents really... Really know their kids... So research is key, parents need to reach out and ask... The key is in what moves the kid, and they are on fire about it, you can start at 4 or 6. We also love challenges at that age, but don't expect them to build a company. I would help him build it and let them running it. Kids give you the string from where you can pull. If you don't listen they resent and become distant and quiet. I have sons, not in your group, I'm just thinking here. Whatever that incite emotion drives kids crazy. But the word entrepreneurship doesn't fit in a kids mind until I believe 12+ So I would reframe that, also because the less it seems like a sale for the kid the better. Hehe

Why Tina CRUSHES and Tim LOSES
Tim does not know the difference between DELIVARABLES AND THE OFFER. He can't get leads. He can't make sales. TINA... Can come up with an OFFER IDEA on her first cup of coffee... And COLLECT $10K before dinner. She KNOWS the DIFFERENCE between the DELIVERABLES and the OFFER! Tim HATES selling and finds it's stressful and no fun. Tina LOVES selling and finds it soooo fun to help others. My question to YOU, my friend. šŸ‘‰What is the DIFFERENCE between DELIVERABLES and THE OFFER?šŸ‘ˆ šŸ‘‡šŸ‘‡šŸ‘‡ Rooting For Ya, Travis

Offer: Make them beg to buy from you. Deliverable: A book. I was sold on the plan without even know what it was. I heard the sizzle and smell the meat (the sandwich) even before I order it.

YOU don't need to be the expert! All you need is the VISION of the MOVEMENT! But dude? What exactly is a movement? It is a CHANGE you want to see in the world... ...even if the change is SMALL In fact... a SMALL MOVEMENT feels doable! (I'm not against big missions, but I like to start with small ones first.) A SMALL MOVEMENT = CHANGE + DIFFERENT + DESIRABLE OUTCOME Something must be done DIFFERENTLY and the OUTCOME must be DESIRABLE to people. Now... You might be thinking? "Damn, Sago! Is that all? šŸ˜€How in the heck do I come up with that? It sounds easier to dump a bunch of content into my community!" I feel ya. I'm going to make this MUCH SIMPLER for you. This will be a huge advantage. Do ya know why? NOBODY wants to share "more content", but they do want to share a MOVEMENT that is different and has a desirable outcome for people they care about. This helps your community GROW all by itself. It also means you can BRING IN experts, content and ALL the things you need for a community WITHOUT needing to do it YOURSELF! They WANT to be part of a MOVEMENT! So... Let's break this baby down and make it simple. This has worked super well for me. Take an OUTCOME you KNOW other people WANT... Find out WHAT THEY HATE about "how to get there" and make your movement about a DIFFERENT PATH TO GET THERE... Using one or more of the following OUTCOME MODIFIERS: Who, What, When, Where, Why and/or How Let me use an example from one of our Flames: @Jeff Teegarden He is a truck driver. I also know he wants to make an income off the road. So the outcome = income That is a "mission" because it's a goal and tangible. Now we need to turn it into a MOVEMENT: 🚚Who? We can change the WHO. In this case, TRUCK DRIVERS would be Spock logical. A community for Truck Drivers who want to create income off the road sounds pretty good to me. ...EVEN IF that was the only modifier. Now... Jeff doesn't NEED TO KNOW HOW or EVEN HAVE DONE IT HIMSELF.

@Travis Sago Wow! is genius how you lay it down so simply. It smells like heaven island to me. So much potential depending on how you think about it. This framework worth gold, so how do you give it just like that? Is what i fail to understand... Generosity Just let me give you Santa status for this one time.
