Sprouted Veggetables: The tiny nutrition powerhouses 🌱
Sprouting isn’t a trend, it’s biology doing its thing. When vegetables and legumes sprout, they wake up, and their nutrition shifts in your favor.🌱 🌱 Sprouted veggies are easier to digest because sprouting lowers antinutrients like phytates that can block mineral absorption. Translation: your body gets more of the good stuff. 🌱 They’re also more nutrient-dense. Studies show sprouting can increase levels of vitamin C, B vitamins, antioxidants, and bioactive compounds. Especially in sprouts like broccoli, lentils, and mung beans. 🌱 Better mineral absorption. Sprouting boosts the availability of iron, zinc, magnesium, and calcium—key for energy, brain function, and metabolic health. 🌱 And let’s talk antioxidants. Broccoli sprouts, for example, are rich in sulforaphane, a compound studied for its role in cellular defense, detox pathways, and inflammation balance. ✨Bonus: ✨ sprouted veggies are lighter on blood sugar, supportive of gut health, and add crunch + freshness to meals without needing fancy prep. Easy ways to use them: toss into salads, wraps, bowls, smoothies, or lightly sauté at the end for maximum benefit. Tiny sprouts. Big nutrition upgrade. 👉🌱🌱🌱Have you tried sprouted veggies yet, or are they still on your “health food someday” list? 🌱🌱🌱👈

There is a class about this next month close to where I live. I am thinking about signing up for it. The more I read about sprouts the more amazed I am at the nutritional value.
How stress affects your brain 🧠😬
Chronic stress isn’t just a feeling — it rewires your brain. While short bursts of stress sharpen focus, ongoing stress floods your system with cortisol, reshaping structures tied to memory, decision-making, and fear. Over time it can shrink key areas like the prefrontal cortex and weaken learning and emotional control. Understanding this gives us power to protect our brains. 🧠 🧠🧠🧠 👉👉👉 What’s the first sign your body gives you when stress kicks in? https://www.ted.com/talks/madhumita_murgia_how_stress_affects_your_brain

I get headaches and clinch my teeth, which makes everything worse!

I do take a multi mineral supplement and when I have a strenuous workout I take extra. But I do not take any when I have a headache. I will try tonight! I have had a headache for the past couple of days. Thanks for the suggestion.
New Mini Course: ADHD and Food !
🧠 ADHD isn’t a focus problem. It’s a fuel problem. If your brain feels scattered, foggy, overstimulated—or oddly calm after certain foods—there’s a reason.ADHD brains burn dopamine, glucose, amino acids, and minerals faster than neurotypical brains. When fuel is unstable, focus drops. Cravings rise. Emotions spike. This isn’t about eating “perfect.”It’s about feeding a neurodivergent nervous system the way it actually works. Food won’t cure ADHD.But it can absolutely make symptoms louder… or quieter. 💭 Question for you:Have you ever noticed certain foods making your focus better—or way worse?

I never associated food and ADHD symptoms. But it makes perfect sense! Of course food effects everything. My adult son is dealing with symptoms now. I will tell him to focus on his food and how it makes him feel and act.
The Mediterranean Diet 🫒
The Mediterranean diet isn’t a trend. It’s a way of living that quietly protects the heart, brain, and metabolism. This documentary shows how olive oil, vegetables, legumes, fish, and whole foods work together to lower inflammation and support long-term health. No restriction. Just quality, rhythm, and pleasure at the table. 👉👉👉Which Mediterranean habit would you adopt first: olive oil, more plants, or slower meals?

Yes! This is what I strive for! I would love slower meals. And more fish.
