Networking In New York
Instagram fixed, for now. Watching tutorial videos. Making my lists. I wanted to reach out to guys in the New York area to connect with those interested in networking. I believe we could work more successfully by forming a mastermind for those in the New YOrk area who are interested. All of us bring something unique to the table and if we team up we can collectively open more opportunities. Hit me up and let me know if interested; we can link up on Insta and get something going.....

Cool. DM me on Insta. We could have the makings of a NYC MOA Mastermind here.....
Hey guys
I’m new here and my name is Richie, I’m 34 years old and I live in New York, I had a brain tumor when I was 13, so I immediately got surgery. I survived and this makes me love life even more and what it has to offer. Looking to better myself in life, but mostly to get dates with really high-quality women or maybe start a relationship. I don’t go out much cause well you know it’s winter in New York and I also don’t drive. I tried this other group on Skool for online dating for Hinge, Tinder, and Bumble. He had great advice, but after being there for a couple months. He honestly kicked me out after like 4 months because he said nothing was really progressing for me and yeah, and he felt bad for taking my $22 a month, but I honestly didn’t mind anyways that’s why. Anyways I was scrolling through my Facebook and I saw Michaels ad so I joined. I know this is a lot of introducing myself, but I just wanted to share that story

Richie, I live in New York too. Yeah, I also don’t drive. I also tried online dating with Hinge, Tinder, and Bumble, Match. I completely empathize. Get off the dating apps, it is a waste of your money and it is like gambling is to a gambling addict - the house wins, you lose, but keep giving them your money (super likes, featured profile, send direct messages, renewal of inflated membership fees, etc...) for that Dopamine hit (e.g. the chance that the hot girl the algorithm shows you before you cancel your membership will write back to you.) I think we are also disadvantaged in with the womrn in New York; there is an attitude that all my friends from out of state, especially CA tell me the experience when they come here to visit with me - that I have observed over the last 10 years or so. I could share some NY female Instagram influencers and their posts about men and how to date "high status men" that would have you sick to your stomach. Anyway, due to dramatic changes in my professional and social lifes I have been very occupied, but each day I still put in a little work based on what Michael instructs us to do. Hit me up if you want to ask me more or share your NY experiences... My Instagram: @jfriedma1771

@Piero Ladhur doesn't seem to be any takers on the board, any thoughts? Or maybe just better I get an open minded friend or two to help out.
Is no post better than a good (but not great) post on IG grid?
I got some great feedback from Michael yesterday about my IG and have done some culling and reording as a result. My question is: should we only have great post that meet all of the criteria on our IG pages (specifically while we are actively fixing our IG)? Michael liked my first photos, 6 give or take, and i think my others are pretty good but some are good and some are average. I guess i am may be looking for excuses to keep them up because of the travel memories; but im wondering if good is better than nothing. Would appreciate everyone's feedback 🙏Here is my IG: https://www.instagram.com/jacymacnee/

Jacy, I like most of the photos, they seem totally natural and well done. I see others who have similar great pics. Was wondering who you get to take these photographs for you? When I am hanging with my friends the last thing they would do is take the time to set up a great shot which meets the criteria for a great photo. My friends will just snap a quick shot and hand me back my phone thinking they just did me the biggest favor in the world. They just don't get it when it comes to the rationale for these pics....

Jacy and Ethan, thx for the info. I am on the tripod thing after this. I did post a general networking request on the board here and in another category looking for like minded MOA members in the NY area who were interested in forming a mastmind and helping each other out.
How often do you go out each month?
Not just dinners or errands. I mean intentionally putting yourself in rooms where you meet new people. It can be events, gatherings, parties, networking, or social nights.

Jacy, how do you get over with on beach cold approaches? I work out, but am in average shape because my job does not permit me longer workouts. The one thing I have seen in NYC is that at restaurants there many groups of girls and no guys to be found - an unusual occurence I have been seeing more over the last few years. The question is how you approach a table with 5-7 girls to start vibing with all of them? Trying to figure that one out.

@Felix Urbanek Thank you much for offering to help out. The MOA team is editing my grid photos now, so literally i have nothing except a name and profile pic. When the grid is up, hopefully the next day or two I will share my insta and would very much appreciate your feedback and any intel you can help out with. Thx man.
