Pulling up to new goals...
For weeks and weeks, I had a chin up/pull up in my workout routine set by @James Pace but something about doing them in the gym, in front of everyone, and expecting myself to look a fool meant I avoided it and kept chickening out. In my most recent check in, James gave me the push I needed to give it a go. Just 3 simple pull ups. And I'm so glad a d thankful he did! My next session, I just sucked it up and did it, not great form, but still, I managed to suprise myself even as to how much I could lift. The first step. A couple weeks later, I've been doing a set of three every session, slowly building that strength, but crucially that confidence to try it too. Today I managed TWO sets of three, I was a shaky mess at the end and my form isn't perfect yet. But it's literally 100% more than I was doing a fornight ago. Small wins physically, big mental gains! Today's attempt video attached below as proof to myself of how far I'm coming!

THE 5 PILLARS TO END 2025 STRONG
Read this carefully… Because the next few weeks will decide whether you finish the year proud or spend January trying to fix what you let slip. This is the time of year when most people fall off. Work parties… travel… cold weather…And before they know it, they’ve undone months of progress. But you’re not “most people.” Inside this team, we hold ourselves to a different standard. Not because life is easy. Not because motivation is high. But because they live by the standards they set. And that’s exactly how YOU will finish 2025 on the front foot. Here are the five pillars to dominate the final stretch of the year: 1️⃣ Be PROACTIVE, not reactive December is simple when you plan it. Stressful when you don’t. Look ahead → events → meals → travel → training. Have a plan before the chaos hits. 2️⃣ Pick Your Battles You don’t need to win every day—just the right ones. Control your typical days. Enjoy the social ones guilt-free. Smart > perfect. 3️⃣ Set CLEAR Non-Negotiables This is where results are protected.2–3 workouts, Daily steps, Protein target, Water, Sleep minimum. Your floor matters more than your ceiling right now. 4️⃣ Use Your Coaches Properly December is NOT the time to go quiet. Lean on us. Ask for swaps. Message before events. Send your plan… and let us optimise it. We’re here to make December easier, not harder. 5️⃣ Manage Expectations the Right Way You don’t need PBs.You don’t need perfection. For many of you, maintaining is the win. December success = staying in the game. Comment below what is the biggest one of these that you need to work on to finish 2025 strong? Public commitment = higher standards. Let’s finish 2024 strong and start January already ahead of the pack. 🔥

100000% exactly what I needed to read Losing progress is one of my biggest worries whenever I'm on holiday, unwell or times like Christmas. Using your Plan: 1- I've upped my food planning, having more ingredients in the house means I'm more likely to good something good. And even in busy weeks when I know I might not get to the gym, I'm still making sure the time is carved out somewhere. 2- Definitely picking my battles - I've got a trip to Paris this weekend, no way am I going to be limiting myself and not enjoying, but that's why this week I'll be banking those calories in the run up. 3- Steps and protein are my top targets lately- nailing these keeps me focused on something each day! 4- I've been using @James Pace less recently , mainly because he's been teaching me so well! But simply being held accountable with my calories and sending videos to perfect my gym exercises is all healing build my confidence and hit my goal! 5- this is bang on for me, even in a busy week- I've sent to at least keep steps up, and be consistent. I want to keep all this going for the next few weeks 💪🏼💪🏼
Building confidence! 💪🏼
After years of just average eating, failed workouts and getting nowhere, I came across Simon's page and over the past four months have been working closely with @James Pace to lose weight, build muscle, eat smarter and most importantly - build confidence. I was already eating ok when I started back in May, albeit too many calories, but the biggest factor in my life that needed changing was my exercise. I was terrified of the gym, having tried it before years ago but never able to commit through fear, lack of knowledge or no consistency. James started me off on some home workouts which were great, but the big step came when he pushed me to get into the gym. In July I stepped into the gym - and I hated it. The people, how busy it was, worried I'd look stupid, or that people would be looking at me and my skinny arms. But I pushed through. I'm the sort of person who once I have actually done something, the the fear and nerves are wiped out immediately. And through that dogged determination and crucially James' support, I'm now going 3-4 times a week and feeling like I can actually belong in a gym. I still look around and compare myself to others, especially when I see other guys with bigger muscles than me, and I'm still very nervous whenever I try a new piece of equipment or an exercise. But getting over that hurdle, that fear, has meant I'm now finally, albeit in small steps, getting the jacked body I've always wanted, and I'm actually waking up most days wanting to go to the gym! Long story short - keep pushing, once you get over any hurdle, it gets easier, and you'll face new challenges - but you'll be able to tackle it so much better than before! Big thanks to James for getting me where I am today - though I'm annoyed because my success so far means I'm actually now wanting to get even bigger and better than I had planned haha, a victim of my own confidence! And testameny to how great the programme is! I have a very long way to go to get what I'm hoping for - but I've done more in the past 4 months than in the past 4 years!! 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼

@Simon Johnson hard to pick one thing, but one for food - just having better awareness of what you're eating while still being able to enjoy treats - so important and transformative. And then one thing for exercise - the sooner you push in the gym, the easier it gets, more you feel the pump, the more you want it - success breeds success!
