For weeks and weeks, I had a chin up/pull up in my workout routine set by but something about doing them in the gym, in front of everyone, and expecting myself to look a fool meant I avoided it and kept chickening out. In my most recent check in, James gave me the push I needed to give it a go. Just 3 simple pull ups. And I'm so glad a d thankful he did!
My next session, I just sucked it up and did it, not great form, but still, I managed to suprise myself even as to how much I could lift. The first step.
A couple weeks later, I've been doing a set of three every session, slowly building that strength, but crucially that confidence to try it too.
Today I managed TWO sets of three, I was a shaky mess at the end and my form isn't perfect yet. But it's literally 100% more than I was doing a fornight ago. Small wins physically, big mental gains!
Today's attempt video attached below as proof to myself of how far I'm coming!
