Another great Syndicafé session yesterday morning with the people who showed up for the Saturday Growth Syndicate call. No agenda, No slides, ...just a group of people who made the time to sit down with a coffee and get into the kind of conversation that actually moves things forward. People say they don't have time for this stuff. The reality is they don't make time. There's a difference. An hour on a Saturday morning that shifts how you think about pricing, clients, contracts, systems or your own mindset is worth more than a week of running on the hamster wheel without ever stepping back to look at what you're actually doing and why. This session covered nine proper principles, the kind that apply across almost any business regardless of what you do or what stage you're at. We got into pricing confidence and why the moment you apologise for your number it's already being negotiated against. We talked about the clients who pay the least and expect the most, why non-payment isn't a grey area and how to handle it without losing sleep, and why success in any trade or service business comes down to having a system behind everything you do rather than winging it on experience alone. We covered subcontracting without oversight and the liability that creates, the psychology of building trust before you build anything else, why the ceiling on your business is almost always a mental one rather than a real one, and how two people in the room are turning industry problems into products and building something with genuine long term value. We finished on the mentoring philosophy itself, which is that tough love is still love, and that avoiding a difficult conversation almost always creates more damage than having it. Good morning Growth Syndicate, with @Mike Greene permission, on the Coffee call this morning, he mentioned to post any massive wins we have so here goes. Since last year and going from strength to strength, from wheelchair bound to taking first steps, and breaking through many of life's challenges I learnt I am "differently" abled and not disabled, initially from my first call with Mike. Part of my growth was speaking at Debbies Does Property London event, (*Thank you Debbie and Jeff) and finishing 300 miles in the wheelchair for Magpas Air Ambulance, raising over £11,000 last year. After many years in the making and with less than 6 months focused efforts myfamilyheritagevault.com was born and launched in December 2025, and now with the first sales underway we are gaining momentum. Only in the past week, I presented to a Care Home Group with over 250 care homes across the UK and they are interested in a roll out programme, which I am going back to present the proposal in around a weeks time. The first picture is at the table presenting my family heritage and also last week we exhibited the Wedding Box option this week on a request from a client. My mission is now to take this to a global brand, but dominate the UK marketplace first, putting in the steps to potentially license/franchise this. We are underway with trademark, copyrighting and supplier agreements to ensure the system is protected and replicable, having a background in ISO9001 QMS certainly helps! Huge shout out to @Mike Greene and the Growth Syndicate members who join the call weekly and are truly an inspiration, and gave me the fortitude and belief I can make this happen. Look out World, I am coming for ya!

Test. Don’t Guess.
Most people kill ideas in their own head. Usually within seconds. Yesterday I spoke at Elite Business Live and I heard a speaker say 3 simple words. 'Test. Don’t guess' The simplicity and brilliance of that hit me immediately. Because most people never test anything. They just run it through their own brain and decide whether it will work. But your brain is only drawing from your past experience. Which means you’re not analysing. You’re guessing. Even investors on Dragons’ Den and Shark Tank get it wrong as often as they get it right: Ideas they dismiss sometimes become global successes. Why? Because opinions aren’t facts. And remember: "Opinions are like ar$eh0les, Everyone’s got one. And most are full of sh!t" If you actually want better results. Stop assuming. Test. Speak to customers. Do the research. Gather real data. My global business was built on exactly this principle. We didn’t guess. We tested. And here’s the uncomfortable truth: Your current thinking created your current results: - Your income. - Your business. - Your life. If you’re already clearing £millions a year. Great. If not: Stop guessing. Start testing.
