😵💫 The Protein Program 😵💫
Protein is one of the biggest programs out there in the food industry. We’ve been taught our entire lives that we need large amounts of protein to build muscle and stay strong, but what the body actually uses are amino acids. Amino acids are the real building blocks the body uses to repair tissue, support cellular function, and build muscle. The interesting part is that fruits and vegetables already contain amino acids, but in a much cleaner and easier form for the body to use. When we eat dense protein foods, the body has to work very hard to break those proteins down into amino acids before they can even be used. That process creates acidic metabolic waste and puts a lot of stress on the digestive system. With fruits and vegetables, the body receives bioavailable amino acids, enzymes, minerals, hydration, and fiber all at once. This supports the cells and the microbiome without overloading digestion. This is why many people notice that when they move toward more fruits and plant foods, their digestion improves and inflammation begins to calm down. (Some people benefit but not all, while other people thrive under a carnivore diet, but that’s another topic 🥴) The body is simply receiving what it actually needs at a cellular level instead of having to break down dense protein structures first. The body is far more intelligent than we’ve been taught. When we give it clean, living foods, it knows exactly what to do with them. 🍎🥬✨
