Financial advice
So, my career choice as a union plumber/pipefitter is starting to pay dividends. I'm making more money than any other time with the project I'm working on right now. With me getting a nice per diem each week, I wanna know where I can put a chunk of this each week to best make it it grow. Any book or a video that you guys can recommend?

@Raul Moya do you have a source to learn from that you'd recommend?

@Miles Washington everyone says that. I'm trying to get more specific advice, and not just general advice.
Financial Literacy
Don't neglect financial education, even if you don't own a business, financial literacy is something you should be studying. You must understand: - How to use debt correctly - Why interest rates rise or fall - How the FED works - How the banking system works - How your mortgage really works You must become a man that excels in all realms of human endeavor, has knowledge in many many areas of life. Doing so guarantees you're never taken advantage of.

I'm curious to know if anyone on this thread can recommend a book or a course thatcovers this. I'm traveling currently for my career, and am getting a hefty per diem. Any advice where to invest? I'm ignorant when it comes to putting extra money.

Clear Direction
"A person with a clear purpose will make progress on even the roughest road. A person without purpose will make no progress on even the smoothest road." -Thomas Carlyle Understand that you will never "feel" ready. The journey begins with a single step forward regardless of feelings. Your power lies in your ability to ACT despite conflicting thoughts and emotions. It's simple, but not easy, if it were easy it would have no value. Take appropriate action Gentlemen.

This is easy to say, but tough for some to enact. I'm one of them.
Time to make it happen
I never thought I would pull the trigger and sign up for this. But, as the saying goes, your only regrets in life are risks you don't take. I'm a 40 year old veteran of the army, who was divorced in April. I am a journeyman plumber/pipefitter by trade, and travel a lot for my job. I was born and raised in southeast Michigan. I'm looking to find a network of men who can help me bust loose from the stagnation of my current situation and become a better man.
