Some pause deadlift and pause bench from today
So the pause bench were two reps for 70 kg at about an RPE6 and the pause deadlifts were the last set of three sets of five at 100 kg for an RPE6 as well. I ran the Friday on the four-day split for the first time today so I haven't managed to write it down fully but on Monday I'll write down the full workout, weight, and reps. Hope everyone's well. Feel free to critique the hell out of my form please. I've never had anyone tell me how to lift properly; I just watch stuff on Youtube

Good stuff man! Your deadlift setup and technique looks well practiced. I would pause just a bit longer on rep 2.
What's going on team?
Hey everyone, I'm Kev, 38, former teacher turned professional desk jockey (ad scriptwriter / creative strategist). Lifetime skinny guy finally trying to get stronger and fill out a t-shirt. My background: track athlete in secondary school, Muay Thai through uni, sat around 65 kg most of my late teens and early 20s. Been fucking around with lifting on and off for about 8 years (Starting Strength, 5/3/1, the usual), never consistent for more than 3 months at a stretch before everything resets. Properly locked in since January after tweaking my back twice last year forced a rethink. Switching to RPE-based training has been huge, back doesn't get aggravated nearly as much anymore. Now 38 and sitting at 84 kg of skinny fat, so cutting down before I run a proper bulk. This year I want to: - Hit a 100 kg Bench (currently at 85 kg) - Hit a 160 kg Squat (currently at 132.5 kg) - Hit a 160 kg Deadlift (currently at 140 kg) - Cut from 84 kg to ~75 kg Buzzing to be here, looking forward to getting stronger

Intro
Hello! My name is Joe. Currently 32 years old. Started training since Oct 31st, 2017. I work in accounting, I love video games and cats (dogs are great too though). This year I want to hit a top single at RPE 9 a 455 lbs deadlift (up from 420), 315 or higher squat (up from 285), and 205 bench (up from 170).

Thanks a lot. Forgot to add, currently weigh 148 lbs (67.1 kg) down from 178 lbs (80.7 kg) back in July 2025. Still a bit high on body fat ~18/19% so may still have to cut since I've sat on maintenance since start of March.
