Meeting your hero
Oscar has quite a serious medical condition & had major surgery in June. This meant 3 mths of no sport at all & he is still recovering. He was nominated for a Christmas experience through Alder Hey Hospital with Everton. So we spent this afternoon with the whole Everton team & he chatted with his hero, Jordan Pickford. Jordan gave Oscar loads of tips on being mentally strong & working hard every day. Pickford is a goalie parent too as his 6 yr old is a goalie for City so we chatted about parent anxiety. He was brilliant & made Oscar’s Christmas 💙

MOTM
2-1 win over a team that had been unbeaten all season. Oscar got MOTM which was fully deserved if only for a finger tip save he made in the first half. Brilliant performance and win

Both of Oscar’s games are off. Pitches are waterlogged. Got a friendly on Astro on Sunday instead so keeping the momentum going.

@Frankie-Jackson Jones we are in Liverpool. Council called all of their games off Wednesday but my sons Saturday match was only called off this morning after the club saw the boys would need scuba equipment to play in 😆

Keeper of the Week for Oscar last night at goalie training. After 3 months out after a serious stomach operation, he is getting back to his best. So proud.
