I started Freelancing on the side middle of last year with the push from @Matt Payne This also doesn’t include clients outside of the platform that reach out from the YouTube videos. Tbh I haven’t even used Upwork to its full potential. I’ve been complacent with the full time job and side hustle rev being put into investing.

I'm a bit late... But I think it's time to start jumping into it for some videos. Watching some demos, this seems like a huge opp for automations. What are your favorite usecases?

For those following along since the start of December: - I've collected 10k in cash already from new deals - By end of Jan it will be closer to 13k - I've got a few nice deals lined up that could push that further. I feel pretty comfortable with Upwork right now. What works, what doesn't, where to focus. I've only applied to 43 or so jobs since the start, so I feel I can ramp. This is what I think is realistic in February: - 200 jobs applied to - 20k NEW cash collected. Hopefully mostly monthly retainers. This number does not include cash collected from current retainers. - 7x ROAS. I'll be carefully tracking this number. If this number is realistic I'll push for 1k jobs applied to per month.

I don’t know if this sort of thing is useful heee, but thought I’d share anyway. I built this for a client that wanted to see n8n “front end”. What it does: Automatically receives, understands, prioritizes, and routes customer inquiries in real time. The tool was built for a $10m consulting firm looking to develop their n8n practice. How I built it: I built the backend using n8n + AI Agents to classify, priotitize and route the inquiry, and built a Next JS fronf end with webhook calls to n8n. The challenge I solved: The client was looking for a way to put a 'face' on n8n. This project allowed them to show prospects both the user and customer service (client side) perspective of what n8n can do. Next week I start a brand new job which pays about 50% more than my previous one. It's a lifechanging amount of money. Now I'll be able to put more towards investing each month and really start scaling the "retirement" account. How did this happen? Every week I put in the work to learn more about Data and Ai. Am I the best Data Analyst, No. Am I the best Ai Engineer, Definitely not. When you put in work week after week eventually something pays off. Every week we have a call in here, the people who show up are also getting Wins. Last week one of the people on the call @Alexander Cebulla landed his first freelance customer. 90 Euros an hour (if I remember correctly) @Alfred Alonso landed a large n8n/fb ads customer from a call and @Ryan Steggerda is probably landing his first n8n customer soon (we are working on his profile). @Alex Rodriguez also landed his first n8n customer. We have about 750 members in the group currently, and I really want to see more people on the calls and engaging. The more you put in = the more you get out of the group. Lets get a TON of wins in here for 2026.
