December Challenge - Get Your First n8n Customer (day 4)
It's time to lock in & land your first Customer on Upwork 2026 is coming soon & I want YOU to have a big win to end off the year. So here is the goal, I want 3 people in this group to get their first n8n/data/ai customers. Everyday we post a comment in this post the number of jobs applied to, any interviews, and things you learn along the way. While I have taken a break from Upwork, I will also be applying as well... No excuses. @Alex Rodriguez @Rudolf Van Loggerenberg @Danny Glosser The Challenge will run through 12/20/25, Need some help with how to navigate Upwork we have a mini course on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SGQ7mdt_EeM&list=PLcQVY5V2UY4L8_RvrhvgJsjnClE0BxxML

API Pagination Limits
Does anybody else have trouble trying to use pagination with n8n API calls? I have a project set up that needs 3 different API calls. Two of them are for 6,000 and 13,000 rows and they work just fine, but the third is for 960K rows of data! From troubleshooting I believe it is not my pagination but the sheer size of the call that makes the workflow crash. Has anybody made a successful API call as large as this one? My current next thought is to limit the API call and loop it with a set batch size and an offset parameter. Here’s a picture of the error I get! Thanks for the help in advance everyone!

Can you show the workflow also
Are you landing high paying customers?
Leaning into the challenge for this month. Are you using the correct framework to land n8n customers? I learned a lot in this call with @Matt Payne https://youtu.be/STwPoX5etkk
Success is sweet
@Ryan Nolan at last it works, my first REAL LIFE PRODUCTION workflow no YT BS, now just to do some research on error handling etc. Also looking for some advice please. I grew up in an international factory and for projects we had documentation and yes I know we play with mickey mouse stuff compared to 100's of 1000's to $M projects but still - what would be professional to provide the customer with such a 'file' of XYZ in the AI/IT world. Also I would like to know if it is really as simple as what it sounds when you commission something for a customer. 1. Install n8n for him 2. Upload the workflow 3. Click the inactive slide and "walk a way", is that done is that it? What about that Test/Production URL where does that come in? Lastly, what can I program in to 'send me results' successful runs and failed runs so I can track the first month or so the results? TIA

Congrats on your workflow! Will let a few ppl respond first before I leave a comment on the other questions
RAG for accurate retrieval?
What is the best practice for setting up your data to make sure it’s embedded properly for RAG vector so that the AI agent can really retrieve it correctly and accurately? I see a lot of YouTube videos with guys doing this, but it’s obviously for show over simplified, and the quality of retrieval has to be poor or average at best. What are the real best practices in terms of doing this? For example, should you build your knowledge source in a Google sheet that’s one for one matching the vector table structure in Supabase? With metadata for …? Or Use markdown in doc? Predetermine chunk size and edit knowledge source to match desired chunk size instead of relying on “random” chunking? How do you set your raw data up to get the most accurate retrieval from AI agent? (Let’s assume n8n Q&A AI chat agent with Supabase vector and 1,000 rows of unique data from online course material.) Thanks!!
