@Elice Tjandra Hi! Nice to meet you, too!
It's Nice to Meet You!
Hi, I'm Jen! I'm a former teacher turned online educator with a passion for helping women learn to confidently manage their finances. I struggled with managing my money, consumer debt, and feeling "bad" with money for many years and now I want to help others avoid, or overcome, those same struggles. What I'm hoping to learn here: I have a Skool community that has been very slow to grow and feels stuck. A lot of advice/teaching I see on Skool focuses on business-to-business support, and I'm hoping for more business-to-consumer ideas. I've put in a lot of time over the last couple of years to establish an online presence and quality content, and now I just need to find the followers. I know I need to make some modifications and improvements, but I'm happy to put in the work. I'm actively joining communities I can learn from and am hoping to make genuine connections, willing to take chances and try new things, and I'm excited to learn!

@Sam Carrington Nice to meet you!
Take a picture of whats in front of you right now!
... And then post it here. (As long as it's not confidential or explicit! 😂) 𝗜 𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂! No explanation, or context, but do tag two other people in here. I just want to see life through your world for a second.👀

My desk! I have work to do, but I really feel like playing today.
Please turn your Skool notifications OFF for our community
Little PSA for your sanity 👇 One of the first things I do with every new Skool I join is go in and switch the notifications off. Not because I don’t care, because I do … but just because the default Skool setting is to have pretty much 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝗻, and honestly, 𝗶𝘁’𝘀 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴! Your inbox fills up every time someone posts, comments or likes something, and if you’re in a few communities, it gets ridiculous fast. You absolutely do not have to turn them off.But if you want room to focus and get on with what actually matters, you probably don’t want your email dinging every five minutes just because this place is active. Skool didn’t really account for a community like ours; a bunch of people who genuinely want to chat, get to know each other, and help in a more old‑fashioned, authentic way… not the new “numbers game” approach where you are just a number on a spreadsheet. ("I am not a number, I am a free man!", or should that be "person" now?) So, here’s how to reclaim your attention a bit: 𝗢𝗻 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗸𝘁𝗼𝗽 1. Go to Skool and click your profile picture in the top‑right corner. 2. Click Settings. 3. In the left sidebar, click Notifications. 4. Under Group notifications, find this community and click Change. 5. Toggle email notifications off for things you don’t want (likes, new posts, comments, etc.), or turn them all off if you prefer to only see updates when you log into Skool. 𝗢𝗻 𝗺𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗲 (𝗮𝗽𝗽 𝗼𝗿 𝗯𝗿𝗼𝘄𝘀𝗲𝗿) 1. Tap your profile icon (usually top‑right). 2. Tap Settings → Notifications. 3. Turn off any email/push notifications you don’t want (likes, new posts, comments, etc.). 4. If your phone is still buzzing, also check your device’s notification settings for the Skool app and switch those off or to “deliver quietly”. You can always turn things back on later or keep just the important stuff (like event reminders) if that works better for you. I’d much rather you choose when you come in here, on your own terms, than feel dragged around by your inbox.

Good reminder! I did this for every community earlier this week, because it can be a lot!

Hey you lovely lot 👋 If you’re reading this, you’ve made it into How to Start a Business with No Money (The official Startup with Adam Community) Welcome aboard!. We are so happy to see you, and look forward to getting to know you better, learn where you are and where you want to be with your business, and help you get there. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞!? Not everyone is lucky or privileged enough to have a rich Daddy with a small million dollar seed fund to help kickstart their ventures. I certainly didn't. we were dead poor growing up, and I was bankrupt at the age of 23. There was no such thing as crowd funding, or kickstarter funds in my day... Just a bank manager. And if they didn't like your idea then you had to build your thing without it! I've done OK, but I can't teach you everything you need to know on my own, so I've assembled a team of people who have all pledged to help you in their specific area of expertise. We have built this community for people who want to build a real business without a big budget, with support from Resident Experts who actually show up to help. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐍𝐞𝐱𝐭? 1. Create a new post and tell us all about what you do and what you are hoping to learn from us in the Welcome Lounge. It's also a great place to hang out and meet other like minded people and make connections. 2. Go and check out the Meet the Resident Experts page, so that you can learn about all of us that shape this community. 3. If you have a specific question, then create a new post under the Ask a Resident Expert category. If you know who you want to answer your question then tag them in it. 4. Enjoy being part of the community! We're really glad you’re here. We look forward to getting to truly know you and helping you build your business however we can. If you haven't quite figured things out yet, that's fine too. Just hang around, ask questions and learn. If you are a seasoned expert yourself, then please feel free to join in, post value and help others here.
