Please turn your Skool notifications OFF for our community
Little PSA for your sanity ๐Ÿ‘‡
One of the first things I do with every new Skool I join is go in and switch the notifications off.
Not because I donโ€™t care, because I do โ€ฆ but just because the default Skool setting is to have pretty much ๐—ฒ๐˜ƒ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐˜†๐˜๐—ต๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ด ๐˜๐˜‚๐—ฟ๐—ป๐—ฒ๐—ฑ ๐—ผ๐—ป, and honestly, ๐—ถ๐˜โ€™๐˜€ ๐—ผ๐˜ƒ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐˜„๐—ต๐—ฒ๐—น๐—บ๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ด! Your inbox fills up every time someone posts, comments or likes something, and if youโ€™re in a few communities, it gets ridiculous fast.
You absolutely do not have to turn them off.But if you want room to focus and get on with what actually matters, you probably donโ€™t want your email dinging every five minutes just because this place is active.
Skool didnโ€™t really account for a community like ours; a bunch of people who genuinely want to chat, get to know each other, and help in a more oldโ€‘fashioned, authentic wayโ€ฆ not the new โ€œnumbers gameโ€ approach where you are just a number on a spreadsheet. ("I am not a number, I am a free man!", or should that be "person" now?)
So, hereโ€™s how to reclaim your attention a bit:
๐—ข๐—ป ๐—ฑ๐—ฒ๐˜€๐—ธ๐˜๐—ผ๐—ฝ
  1. Go to Skool and click your profile picture in the topโ€‘right corner.
  2. Click Settings.
  3. In the left sidebar, click Notifications.
  4. Under Group notifications, find this community and click Change.
  5. Toggle email notifications off for things you donโ€™t want (likes, new posts, comments, etc.), or turn them all off if you prefer to only see updates when you log into Skool.
  1. Tap your profile icon (usually topโ€‘right).
  2. Tap Settings โ†’ Notifications.
  3. Turn off any email/push notifications you donโ€™t want (likes, new posts, comments, etc.).
  4. If your phone is still buzzing, also check your deviceโ€™s notification settings for the Skool app and switch those off or to โ€œdeliver quietlyโ€.
You can always turn things back on later or keep just the important stuff (like event reminders) if that works better for you. Iโ€™d much rather you choose when you come in here, on your own terms, than feel dragged around by your inbox.
