Static Ad Win - Creative Strategy
Wrote a static ad for a dental teeth whitening brand, which is #1 in their ad account for 13 days straight. Stats: Amount spent: £2739 Purchases: 228 ROAS: 2.52x I'm pretty sure it'll cross 300 purchases in the next week, and hopefully 400 by mid of next month. Cold traffic is teaching me a lot when it comes to direct repose copy and testing... One of which is understanding your market awareness level and sophistication level before writing a single word of copy.

Copy: How to Collect Social Security at any age - Gary Halbert
3 pages to copy this one I will make a canva board, uploading daily what i extracted from each Ad I'll make it open so people can post comments and questions This was direct response copy by Gary Halbert, It expects immediate action on part of reader, and provides 2 coupons at the end Starts with a question, arousing the desire of readers - tapping into urge for money - and moves immediately to answer how to. He is selling a book that will educate them on how to save and make money from Social Security There are many bullets/fascinations. Many assertions that start with 'How' and not ending with a '?' Maybe it has some effect! Directly addresses pain points around social security (SS). Many people find themselves ineligible for SS, and Gary mentions how to find a way around it. Fascinations like these aim to intrigue readers by finding the pulse of the problem. The booklet is not teaching how to scam the system, but how to take full advantage of their SS. It is honest information Acts like the friend of the common man, against the common enemy - the govt officials who wanna score more money from "us" and capitalize on our ignorance. Gary is on the side of the commoner!

Nice.
What I learned from handcopying the Bone Fone ad by Joseph Sugarman
1. When talking to a problem aware audience, start with a story (or imaginary) that emphasizes on the problem OR creates interest for a solution of the problem. 2. Use the origin story of the product to increase trust. It got to be a true story. Even if it feels vague, it CAN be worked around to make it more intriguing without lying about it. 3. Use specific details to better illustrate the experience of the product. 4. Guess what the next thing in the reader's mind would be and handle it accordingly. For that, you need enough practice and pattern recognition. (I learnt it from the adweek copywriting handbook. But I can see this concept run underneath the ad.) 5. Don't cut off any details of the product. No matter how vague. There's always a way to make it more intriguing. 6. Challenging competitors products is a great way to showcase your confidence about the product. So the prospect feels confident buying it too. 7. Promise a risk free guarantee to lower skepticism.

@Leah Mason-Virgin Yes. I started to see patterns throughout the letter: - Proof-stacking - Credibility-stacking - Simplicity of the copy (Idea of one) - How he creates open loops to hook the reader - Etc etc... Give it a shot if you got time. Definitely worth it. Nabeel recommends it because it activates kinesthetic learning, best way to get good at something quickly.
Landed an Email copy client on UpWork
I sent a loom video with my UpWork proposal and judging from the clients response this was what really helped me to stand out from other applicants - showing myself live in a video. I wouldn't have had the ability to speak so confidently in a video proposal if I hadn't gone through List Boss V1 back in Sept 2024. Investing $50 to learn about email list management directly from an expert is a no-brainer.
