Consistency is king/queen...
What helps you stay consistent with movement, even on low-motivation days?

The discipline I’ve spent time to create. Motivation comes and goes with the seasons and is unreliable. You must create discipline through repeating the same daily habits consistently until it’s there. Discipline = your habits repeated daily until consistent. No way around it, discipline must be created through repeating good habits consistently. Then when unmotivated, which I am every single morning my alarm goes off at 3:45am, my discipline gets me out of bed. Go win the day, folks

Welcome!
Sunday Ride for Breast Cancer Research
Sunday is usually my rest day and prep day but there was something about today that made me want to put it on the calendar and go! I’m so glad I did. This was a 60 min ride with Emma and the proceeds went to breast cancer research! They did a fun raffle but the best was just being around the people and getting that time on the bike to go hard and go for it! I’m definitely reflecting on how happy, strong, confident, badass and grateful I am in this part of my life. Thankful for 6ycle and for all of you in here for being part of this long and meaningful wellness journey for me. It means much more than you know!

Glad to have you here! 🙌🏼
Happy Friday!!
This week was mostly about resting. I was not feeling well most of it. Tuesday I did get a Pilates workout in but it left me so sore that today was just some restorative flow. Dutchess and I were channeling out inner calm.
Happy Friday!!

@Krista Evans Great question 🙌 Fast-digesting carbs are important after a workout because when you workout, your muscles burn through stored glycogen for energy (carbs). If you don’t replace it, recovery slows down and soreness hangs around longer. Pairing a quick carb like rice cakes, white rice, a bagel, or Ignition with your protein shakes helps refill those glycogen stores super quick and drives the protein into your muscles faster. That’s the combo that speeds up recovery. Hope that helps!
