❓ What’s the best professional approach for Client Google Integrations in Make.com (Calendar, Sheets, Gmail)
Hello everyone, I’m running an automation/digital agency and currently setting up solutions for clients using Make.com. One challenge I’m facing is how to professionally connect a client’s Google services (Google Calendar, Sheets, Gmail) into Make.com without asking them to share their Google login credentials (which is unprofessional and insecure). I know Make.com provides direct Google modules (Calendar, Sheets, Gmail), but they require the account owner to authorize the connection via OAuth. In practice, most of my clients are non-technical and expect me to handle everything end-to-end. They don’t want to log in or create accounts themselves. So I see two possible options: 1. Use Custom API/Service Accounts 2. Use an Integration Account 💡 My question to the community is: What’s the best and most professional approach agencies use in the real world to connect a client’s Google account to Make.com? - Should I stick to OAuth authorization (done via screen share or onboarding session)? - Is setting up a service account the recommended method? - Or is it acceptable to create a separate technical Google account for the client and use that for integrations? I’d love to hear how experienced agencies are solving this in practice. Any advice, workflows, or even references to resources would be very helpful 🙏 Thank you!
