Posting prior to editing....?
Hi! 👋 Newbie-ish ADHDer here that keeps coming back after distractions but hasn't started interacting much yet. I'm Angie, or Angela, whichever you want to call me (one side of my family calls me one way, and the other side another way, and it's all the same to me). I'm wondering about your experiences with something - have any of you just went ahead and posted something right after videoing, that ideally you would edit, but you want to get it up before you get lost in something else (maybe other ADHDers out there thinking this way -?) and then did you go back and put up a more polished version later? If so, how'd that go for you? I'm imagining there's reasons to not do this, that probably outweigh the benefit(s?), but knowing them would be helpful for me too. Thank you all for sharing your experiences and thoughts on this!

@Angela Dotzenrod sorry for not responding sooner. I'm in the midst of doing a 31 day. I'm probably bitten off more than I could chew. I love your thought of working with a neurodivergent population. Especially since I'm really new to it myself, cause I was just diagnosed ADHD taking the meds and talking to a therapist. I think I've just given myself too much to do that when I start to do something, I just stall and procrastinate. And it takes me a lot longer than it'd normally take people. I'm working through my issues slowly, but steadily. My plan is 1 day to do some lives with people. Drawing alongside them and showing how I approach a new project that I've never done before. And give people inspiration that they can even start to learn new things at a later date like I did. I'd like to be able to interview other people and artists to see how they got to where they're at. And what physical and mental things put road blocks in their path and how they've overcame it. I just think of all the things I want to do. And then I stall and second, guess my self, and don't even get started. Heck, I just learned to put links in my description. It took me hours. But now that I know the process, hopefully, I can start putting some links do some of the products that I use. Next step amazon affiliate link. Downloading steamyard. Redooting my banners. Doing some challenges so I can reopen my budgeting channel. And open a Kofi account to sell digital downloads. But I've been computer illiterate for so long that has taken a lot just to get me going to realize I can learn this stuff, and it's not overly difficult. Once, you've figured out a couple things. I love all your ideas. They're pretty much the same ideas. I have, and as I get used to this stuff, I will gradually start implicating more and more things. And my channel will change as it needs to. Thank you for your comments and your great ideas.
Thinking about starting a YouTube channel? Just go for it!
Pick something you love, film with what you have, and keep learning as you go. Don’t wait for perfect — your first video is your biggest step forward. Who else is starting a channel this year?

@Daniel Raj I'm working on it. I'm starting at the branding trying to get everything to mesh nicely. I've been kind of all over the place this is last year, so I'm taking the steps to make it. It's more focused on an art c And getting some Kofi for digital downloads of my art. That i'll be turning into money saving challenges that are handmade. That way, it can reopen my budgeting channel and highlight And use it to highlight the art as well. So it's there as well as showing how I make them on my art channel. I work And try to do a channel that takes quite a bit of hours hand drawing everything. And and trying to learn all the new things. All at the same time, so i'm just taking it slow.
Exciting Update from The Electric Oracle: My First Brand Deal Offer!
Hi guys, I wanted to share some exciting news with you—I’ve been offered my first brand deal with Daolar, a company renowned for creating innovative EV chargers designed to save time and energy. They’ve proposed sending me a free charger to review honestly with my audience, and since this is a significant milestone for my channel, I wanted to take you along on this journey and outline the careful steps I’m taking. To start, I’m diving deep into research about Daolar and their product lineup. I’ll explore their official websites (https://www.daolar.com/, https://de.daolar.com/, https://eu.daolar.com/) to get a comprehensive understanding of their offerings, such as the Type 2 EV Charging Cables, Mobile Wallboxes, and other models showcased in their catalog. Next, I’ll search YouTube for existing reviews from other creators to gather insights, spot any potential concerns, and see how these products are perceived by the community. This will help me approach my review with a well-rounded perspective. Most importantly, I’m committed to ensuring this opportunity aligns with the integrity of The Electric Oracle. I’ll meticulously verify Daolar’s certifications to confirm the product meets stringent safety and quality standards. Beyond that, I’ll assess whether the collaboration fits my channel’s brand—focused on reliable, viewer-friendly EV content—and ensure the company has a solid reputation. I won’t just accept the deal outright; I need to be fully confident that it’s safe for my viewers and upholds the trust placed in me. If any red flags arise during this process, I’ll reconsider moving forward. Looking ahead, I’m excited about the potential growth this could bring. As views on my channel increase, I anticipate more of these opportunities coming my way. With that growth, I plan to leverage my audience size to negotiate better terms, ensuring any future deals reflect the value my community brings. This first step with Daolar is just the beginning, and I’m eager to see how it unfolds.

Have you thought of doing a video about how to approach sponsors, or when they approach you what to look for and how to price yourself? I'm been curious about that.
Bots, Spammers and More Oh My!
The amount of people pitching their services in here has me frustrated slightly. I am going back to approving all members again. Which means there might be a slight delay when new members sign up, but perhaps that will be better than having to remove like 15 members every other minute. haha I'm considering a paid community (again - because of this) for those of you who would be interested. Could you let me know below your thoughts? I want to keep this one free because it's important to me that information is accessible to all, however I know a lot of you just want to focus on your channel and advice from each other without the extra noise. Price point less than 20$

It's a shame that you'd have to do that having to a one time fee. But also, if you can have it so they can only start dming if they get to, like a level 2 or 3 is actually a great idea that way. You can kind of see the type of person they are and verify that they're here for the right reasons. I get dms all the time, and I'll look at their history and if they're like a level one and haven't done any contributions asking questions being genuine, then I usually just ignore them unless they get really spammy
